I Need Style Advice!

Yellowing shirts

Good morning, gents! I’m back at work this week, and with the summer heat (plus carrying a rucksack), I’m trying to avoid the dreaded sweat-stained shirt. It feels like a problem we’ve all been battling for years. I’ve already switched to linen shirts, which definitely helps keep me cooler, but it doesn’t completely solve the problem. Here’s my dilemma: if I wear an undershirt, I end up feeling even hotter and sweating more. If I skip the undershirt, I still sweat and risk staining my white and light blue shirts. So what’s the best solution? Are there any tricks, fabrics, or products you’ve found that genuinely help keep shirts looking fresh in hot weather? My only other option is turning up to the office shirtless… but I suspect HR might have a few questions. 😅

HERRINGBONE PATTERN IS TIMELESS

I do like the timeless herringbone pattern. I have the pattern on my timeless garments like overcoats, sports coats, shirts, trousers, ties… Now I got a new timeless item I haven’t had before. Last week Marianne bought to me, on our 50th wedding anniversary, a silver bracelet in herringbone pattern to mach my garments. I love the bracelet, designed and manufactured in Finland. I am blessed to have my beloved Marianne by my side all these years. 50th wedding anniversary Fine-dining OOTD (no pictures taken this time) beige wool Armani jacket cream cotton Sand trousers white cotton Bosweel & Sons shirt subtle pink silk Zegna tie silver-maroon silk pocket square beige wool socks oxblood leather Oxford shoes silver bracelet in herringbone pattern gold necklace Marianne OOTD full long silk dress with large strawberry pattern Marimekko Subtle pink-almost white very airy knit short cashmere sweater sparkling shoes gold necklace and gold bracelets

7/5/2026 Sunday Worship Then Shamrock Club Meeting

So day we both wore variations on Satyrday’s outfits. Robin wore the same white blouse with the red and blue stars and red, white and blue bat but switched yesterday,s skirt for a pair of red capris. I wore the same light khaki linen trousers and blue blad jacket but switched ro white linen shirt instead of the blue, chose a navy ascot instead of the red scarf, switched to the blue fedora from the blue linen flatcap and finally put on burgundy double monks instead of the saddle shoes.
