New favourite brand on the horizon??? 🤔
To celebrate some recent success, I’ve taken the plunge to try a brand I’ve been eyeing up for a good couple of years now. Today, my anticipated purchase arrived and I have to say, I’m incredibly impressed. Master Supply Co’s Convoy Rust on first glance is one of the best made jackets I’ve seen for a very long time. What’s noticeable is the weight and thickness of the hide - it’s very heavy. I got the American Medium (UK large), because in the winter months I’d love to layer it and want a bit more room to move. It feels a little stiff at the moment, but this will adjust the more I wear it. The details I just love. The brass buttons, red lining and the stitched patterning on the front breast pockets really make this a lovely piece. The adjustable tabs at the back to offer a slightly tighter fit are a nice touch and I particularly like the red stitching in the back of the collar. Is it a cheap piece? Relative to other companies I’ve seen I’d say it’s leaning towards the mid range - £426. Considering there’s other jackets which sit in the £1000+ range, I think for something which will very likely stand the test of time, this is very reasonable. While I love the style of Thursday Jackets, I feel like Master Supply Co might’ve just beaten them here. But, a set of Thursday Boots styled with this? I’m excited to make that pairing happen…

@M J i can’t wait to see how this looks once it’s properly broken in.
Kicking off the day!
Morning all!! This one’s less about style and more about lifestyle. Had a great little win this morning: I just finished a meeting where I presented a new way of working to 11 senior leads. It didn’t go perfectly—one small error meant my method wasn’t flawless—but I was happy to own it. What else are demos for if not to show where improvements can be made? Started the day at 6:00am, gym at 6:30, back home by 8:00, signed on at 8:45. The power of psychological momentum is unreal. Wishing you all the best!!
Always get samples!
Good evening! So I recently took to trying out some of the Tom Ford fragrances. I’d been eyeing them up for a while so I picked up two samples - Ombré Leather and Tobacco Vanille. Smart choice. The Ombré Leather I’m in love with. Very masculine, edgy and arrives in a matte black bottle. It’s a very deep fragrance and very much resembles leather. Tobacco vanille, I’m still on the fence with. It’s very sweet and smoky (definitely suits the name 😂), but I feel like I’d need the right outfit to go with it and I’m unsure what that would be. I’m thinking a very classic wool three piece suit (Peaky Blinders style). Or if you’re wearing suede leather. I’m just about to head out for the night to meet one of my mates, and I’ve gone for Ombré Leather and my suede leather racer from Thursdays - contradicting what I just said, I know! With this, I’m wearing slightly faded matte black jeans, dark grey button up oxford shirt and my grey suede harness boots, also from Thursdays.

@Christopher Kreisel I recommend. The Ombré Leather I love. Still deciding on the Tobacco Vanille, but samples are a great way to explore what you like. My number 1 is still Hugh Parsons Notting Hill.

@Bernie Henesy I’ll have to check that one out! Sounds like right up my street!
What’s in the box? 🤔
So here’s my most recent purchase from my favourite boot company - Thursday Boots!! This time though, I’ve ditched the boots and I’ve gone for their retro low tops. Apart from the small blemish on the right toe cap, I have to say I’m very pleased. The feel of the black suede is very good and certainly shouts quality. I do like that these will go with most of my outfits including summer attire - my converse low tops were wrecked and beyond saving. As the weeks go on I’ll include how these break in. I’ve not posted for a while due to other commitments, but I always come back!!

Wedding Day!!
Good morning gentlemen! Today I’ll be watching two of my best mates from my school years finally tie the knot - she’s making an honest man of him! It’s also a day where I get to wear my grandads jewellery for the very first time. Here’s what I’ve put together. Reiss Oatmeal Dogtooth pattern wool blazer - no lining so it’s comfortable even in warm weather. Cufflink white shirt Gold cufflinks and tie pin Gold pocket watch Navy trousers Navy Blue polka dot tie and pocket square Dark brown leather double monk strap shoes. Hugh Parsons Notting Hill Cologne I know I’ve made a couple of posts about tie colour and a lot of suggestions leaned toward burgundy/maroon, but in truth, it’s not a colour I’m comfortable wearing and much prefer this. With this, I love that I’ve kept with brown, blue, white and gold. I also have a pair of aviator ray bans which I’ll add photos of later this afternoon. Have a great weekend all!! P.S. the highlight of the day was meeting up with the polished crew again!

@Rick Clark cheers Rick! I took a leaf out of my grandad’s book. Always very dapperly dressed, even when gardening and doing DIY he was in a shirt and trousers! 😂
