Upgrading my denims
Morning guys! I need some advice. While we’re still in summer, I’m starting to think ahead for autumn/fall which has got me planning on upgrading my denims. All my jeans are from Next, which while they’re great for the money, don’t tend to last that long and I’d like a pair which can be styled up with a white oxford shirt and brown double monks, but can also be paired with a great leather jacket and black T-shirt, maybe a jumper/sweater too. Where can you guys recommend? I’d love to get some opinions.
Yellowing shirts
Good morning, gents! I’m back at work this week, and with the summer heat (plus carrying a rucksack), I’m trying to avoid the dreaded sweat-stained shirt. It feels like a problem we’ve all been battling for years. I’ve already switched to linen shirts, which definitely helps keep me cooler, but it doesn’t completely solve the problem. Here’s my dilemma: if I wear an undershirt, I end up feeling even hotter and sweating more. If I skip the undershirt, I still sweat and risk staining my white and light blue shirts. So what’s the best solution? Are there any tricks, fabrics, or products you’ve found that genuinely help keep shirts looking fresh in hot weather? My only other option is turning up to the office shirtless… but I suspect HR might have a few questions. 😅

@Chad Kortan I’ve heard similar stories that hot drinks cool you down quicker. Still not sure how accurate that is haha. As for the oxi-clean, I’ll look into that. I’ve already got vanish but it doesn’t seem to have done the trick, even after soaking.

@Robert Woodhouse that’s a great recommendation, thank you! I’m looking at them now. Which colour did you go for? As I’m wearing linen, I’m assuming “tone” would be best as it’s less visible.
Majorca - beaches and pina coladas
Good afternoon gents! Today I spent the morning on the beach, but the afternoon I set myself a goal of finding the best pina colada in town - sensibly spaced out throughout the day, of course! 😄 Here’s what I put together: - Charles Tyrwhitt plain white polo - Charles Tyrwhitt navy linen shorts with braided leather belt - Thursday loafers with no show socks - Vincero Chrono wristwatch - Straw trilby - Ray Ban aviators If you’ve seen my other posts from this week, you’ll notice my accessories don’t vary much, but sticking with those accessories and changing the main attire, has kept the shirts, polos, shorts etc elevated. Following Antonio’s advice, they’re very much the seasoning to an outfit. All the best guys and I hope you’re having a great week!

@Antonio Cent it was a tough call, but the award has to go to - Hotel Illa d´Or. If you ever go, that’s my recommendation! 👌🏼
Majorca - wrapping up the holiday
Good afternoon! Tonight marks the final evening of my trip and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed it. Plenty of cocktails, great food, live music and time in the sea - a couple of exciting nights watching the football too. Tonight, we have dinner booked and I’m super excited as this is my favourite outfit of the lot! - Charles Tyrwhitt plain white linen shirt - Charles Tyrwhitt navy linen trousers - Straw trilby hat - Thursday loafers (certainly proved their worth throughout this trip) - Brown leather Anson belt - Vincero Chrono wrist watch - Ray Ban Aviators - Hugh Parsons Notting Hill I should add, that throughout the entire holiday I’ve stuck to my Tiege Hanley skincare routine and I’ve slapped on my favourite cologne.

@Antonio Cent thank you! Yes, they’ve held up really well. I’m grateful to the hotel for providing a shoe sponge to spruce them up a little.
Majorca - ready for the town
Good afternoon! With tomorrow being my last full day, I feel it’s about time the linen trousers came out! Heading out for drinks in town, followed by dinner and live music, so I thought I’d pull out some stops. - Charles Tyrwhitt linen light blue shirt - Charles Tyrwhitt linen stone trousers - Thursday Mahogany loafers - Straw trilby - Vincero Chrono watch - Braided leather belt - Ray Ban aviators It’s been a fun trip and with Spain playing in the World Cup tonight, I’m expecting an incredible atmosphere! Take care guys!

@Antonio Cent thank you! The loafers held up well. I’m very happy with them overall, but I do think I need to put the shoe trees back in before I wear no show socks again. I think some adhesive sole grips are on the cards too.
