Developing our Own Brand
Gentlemen, During the past year of my involvement with RMRS, and learning from many you, Iโ€™ve arrived at the following conclusion. We may all study the same playbook of classic style, but no two gentlemen execute it the same way. The fundamentals remain constant; the expression is uniquely personal. Itโ€™s those individual interpretationsโ€”the choices in color, texture, fit, and accessoriesโ€”that transform timeless principles into a signature style. In the end, every well-dressed gentleman becomes his own brand.

Iโ€™ll admit itโ€”I was a bit late to the linen party. Over the past few months , Iโ€™ve started wearing linen shirts to work. Living in South Texas (SATX), where summer seems determined to test both patience and wardrobe, I wanted to see if linen truly lived up to its legendary reputation. The lightweight weave and exceptional breathability made an immediate impression. Then came Cancรบn. If SATX is warm, Cancรบn in July is a masterclass in heat and humidity. After spending the day exploring outdoors, my linen shirts were absolutely saturated with perspiration. Normally, that would be the point where comfort goes out the window. Instead, linen surprised me again. Within a remarkably short time, the fabric had dried, regained its comfort, and was ready for whatever came next. No heavy, clingy feeling. No sense that I was carrying the Caribbean around on my shoulders. Just cool, breathable comfort. Consider this my field report: linen has now been battle-tested in the boardroom, on the streets of SATX, and under the tropical sun of Cancรบn. The verdict? Iโ€™m sold. For me, linen has earned its place as the undisputed go-to fabric for summer. It may wrinkle with enthusiasm, but those wrinkles are simply proof that youโ€™re out living life instead of hiding from the heat. Style isnโ€™t just about looking goodโ€”itโ€™s about dressing intelligently for the environment. Linen does both remarkably well

Razzle Dazzle Saga (2021-2023 & 2026-)
G'Day Gents, I just wanted to share something a special part of my life that I don't think I've talked about in this group prior to now. So, in 2021 my younger brother and I started up a Touch Football Team called Razzle Dazzle (that's another story), the players, sponsors, kits and marketing was done in the space of 10 weeks before the season was set to start. We ended that season with an abysmal 0-1-6 record, and to rub salt into the wound the team had to be rebuilt for the following season. We ended the 2022 season with a silghtly better 1-2-9 record, however the team had to be rebuilt once again for the following season and had a huge falling out with our main sponsor, forcing us to scramble and find another for the upcoming season. We ended the 2023 season with a much better 3-1-6 record, especially when you consider that we only had 9 players in our squad that year. However, 2024 brought the end of the first era of Razzle Dazzle Touch Football, with the imfamous housefire forcing us to put our team on what would go onto be a 859-Day hiatus. During that hiatus, Breaker spent three seasons (one winter and two summer) slowly building a team that would eventually become NWS Razzle Dazzle and after a disappointing season start 0-1-4, the team enlisted my help to get back into the coaching saddle, and under my tutorage became the 2026 winter competition's dark horses and with a overall 2026 season record of 3-3-4, against all the odds went on to win the 2026 Division 2 Winter Bowl title tonight. Whilst the team has greater ambitions to chase the competition's Holy Grail, the CC Division 1 Summer Shield, the fact that the team was able to claw its way back from the depths of despair to docking into the promised land, becoming a title winning outfit, is an incredible achievement in of itself and will hopefully lay the foundations for any and all future success moving forward.

My winning art reception outfit!
Outfit I wore to my art show reception. The theme was 250th Anniversary America The Beautiful Landscape Art Show. It was 98 degrees and the gallery has no AC so I decided not to wear a jacket but to go more casual. Long sleeve navy blue linen shirt with the sleeves rolled up from Vineyard Vines that I wore un-tucked to hide my weight issue, White chino pants with very light vertical pinstripes in the fabric from Lands End, Navy Anson belt with silver buckle, navy blue dress socks with red white and blue sailboats from Tommy Bahama, my new blue spectators from Macy's, my Tag watch and matching medical Id bracelet, and I for cologne I chose Honor from Mission Fragrance because I was the first place winner of my oil painting of Stonington Connecticut! I have a few awards but this was my first official first place in a professional gallery! Oh I almost forgot; my fedora is from Tommy Bahama and is white with a black hat band and Marlin pin but I made custom band the night before just for the show. I fashioned a navy band out of some ribbon and hot glued a smaller red ribbon down the center of it and attached it over the black band. Then I took a cuff link I have that has an artist palette and paint brushes on it and sewed it onto the band. I modeled it after a hat I would love to buy but cant afford to now: the 350th anniversary Lock & Co fedora hat. I basically copied the same look at a fraction of the cost! The picture at the end is my painting that won.
