Wedding suit prep
I have a wedding to attend on Thursday, the first that's come up since my style identity change earlier this year. I went to David and Co nearby home for a 3 suit combo deal a couple months ago. You get 3 of everything except shoes, which is 1 pair for 3,000 USD after tax and tailoring. I have another suit ready for winter that I'll take photos of later and 1 IOU suit for when their inventory changes over for fall/winter. This 100% linen suit is by Giovanni Bresciani. Shirt is 100% Italian cotton. Flower tie by Bruno Pattelli Anson belt with golf belt buckle Doctor schols shoes (only light brown pair I have atm) I ideally wanted to pick up some more formal looking penny loafers but the wife vetoed that since these shoes work fine.

Linen for a summer wedding — great call. And I get the shoe veto... happy wife, happy life, right? Have a great time at the wedding.
The Return of The DISTINGUISHED GENTLEMAN...
Today I decided to get off my you know what and dress up. I haven't been on it in a while but I'm bouncing back. And every time I dress up, I feel good about myself. And yes you do think differently. You seem to have a better focus of your day. Even where you see yourself future tense... As men it is important we take care of ourselves and maintain our look, style and stature of who we are as men. I recommend for ALL MEN to return back to the days of The Distinguished Gentleman. They days where wisdom, style, elegance and class was the standard of a man. A real Distinguished Gentleman at that.... #TerrificTuesday #RMRS #GentlemanStyle #OutfitOfTheDay

Right on. When you dress well you carry yourself differently — it's not about the clothes, it's about the man wearing them.
OOTD - Wednesday 5 August
A little late with the posting today, last night my youngest had the second night of the Queanbeyan Area Public Schools Performance. It is around 12 schools that perform singing and dancing on stage. It was a great show but 2 nights of getting to bed at 2300 took its toll on Jade and as Poppy came and watched last night both were very tired and cranky this morning. Dad is a meanie as he made the girls go to school where Mum was going to let them have the day off. It is funny in a way as everyone that knows us thinks it is the other way around and that I would be the soft touch 🤭 As I was heading back home after dropping Poppy to school I ducked up Mt Ainslie top the lookout to grab some photos, you can see Memorial Drive that leads to the lake and across to both Old Parliament and Parliament house. As it was a late night I didnt have the opportunity to get my outfit ready the night before, however when you know and understand the basics, it can be easy to grab an outfit. Todays outfit consists of; - Country Road Double Breasted Herringbone 100% Fine Wool Overcoat in Graphite - Brixton Brood Snap cap in Grey - MJ Bale Ashford Suit In Charcoal - OTAA Winthrop’s Gray Weave Lucious Shirt - OTAA Gibraltar Graphite Blue Stripe Tie - OTAA Shining Silver tie clip - OTAA Don Vitone Blue Wool Pocket Square - Monterey Watch Co Black Bead Blracelet - Mitch Dowd DIamond Pattern Socks - Ecco Ecco Vitrus Penny Loafer SOTD - Bond No9 New York Nights WOTD - Tudor Royal 41 Silver Dial

Sharp as always. That overcoat and the view — hard to beat.
Day to night transformation
Versatile and planning are a good way to keep things going. Went to the office today but knew I would have a tight schedule to meet my lovely bride for a date night dinner out. So I planned this outfit knowing I would add a sport coat in the evening. Having an interchangeable wardrobe is essential.

Smart. A jacket changes everything — and you don't have to go home to do it.
My New-to Me Loafers
I have only really become a shoe guy since joining this great group of gents. Pictured, is my new pair of Allen Edmond tassel loafers. I really like burgundy or ox-blood anything, especially shoes. But, there is no way I could afford these new at $450.00, but I can afford them used off of eBay for $30.00 including shipping! Yes, the soles have some wear, but I don’t care. I’m slowly building a small collection of older AE’s. Did I mention I really like them?

Burgundy tassel loafers for $30? That's a steal, man. AE quality at eBay prices — you're doing it right.
