My Saturday night outfit plans
Well Gents, i have long date planned with a wide variety of environments. Layering seems important. Heres a rough idea of what im going to wear, give me your honest thoughts, opinions, and criticisms. From the outer layers inward; Black wool peacoat, and grey/purple cashmere scarf. Black jacket, purple pocket square, black corduroy pants, ox blood leather belt, purple v neck t shirt. Dark brown Thursdays boots, and a brown leather watch strap. Silver chain and cross necklace, 2 silver rings. I could swap the watch strap for a silver metal one... Anyway, rip it apart! Whats good, whats bad, where can I improve?

Iron recommendations
When I was ironing this past weekend, the cord got tangled up underneath it and it went crashing to the floor. So I'm in the market for a new iron. I'd love to hear some thoughts on what to look for, in terms of brands, styles, features, etc. Oh, and I'd like it to not be so expensive that my wife hits me upside the head with it when I bring it home.
Pants, shoes, belt
I could use some advice from those with a better fashion sense than I. Because of bad feet I’m limited about the shoes I can buy. I was looking for a pair of brown sneakers to go with these khaki chinos and after a lengthy search, I found these. The only potential problem is that they’re practically identical in shade to my chinos (and therefore the belt too). A part of me likes the look and another part wonders if I’m all set for a safari. What say ye, gentlemen—-nothing to worry about here or contrast is required?

Tux help needed
Wedding, but not in the wedding party. I'm 63yo 6' in shape. I go to a gentleman's store Brides mother is my date. I have a formal black wool. Shawl lapel, flat front trousers. Jacket is fitted, and I have a full vest. I bought a pair of the Oxfords that John C recommended. I'm wanting to be very cool, formal, relaxed. Not snooty. What accessories do I use to make this tux pop while still staying formal. 1- I'm thinking most on the shirt. No black buttons. What kind of collar? What brand of tux shirt? 2-Socks, can I go with something fun like black with small white polka dots? Or formal black? 3-cufflinks, 4-suspenders, 6-better vest? 7-What color pocket square? Do I have to go black? 8- can I fit the pants different? They seem baggy to me. Where to I edit them, what do I tell the seemstress? Give me any of your experienced tricks that make this a sweet set up.
What do you think?
I was in Vienna and saw these in a store. I liked them but a bit pricey. What do you think?
