2026-04-16 - Daily Style Stand-Up: The Navy Blazer
Today's Daily Style Stand-Up should be an easy one... (Doing my best @Brian McGuire impression) - Gentlemen, I give you the Navy Blazer! As a reminder, there are only two rules: - Answer the three questions. - Human answers only. (No AI responses.) The second rule is because I believe the community is best served by reading what actual humans in this actual community actually think. And, yes, there are too many words in that sentence with actual as the root... The first rule is to keep things simple and easy to follow. Just answer the following three questions: - Is this item (perhaps in a different color or different fabric) already in my closet? - What is one way I would style this item with things currently in my closet? - What is one thing not currently in my closet I would buy to style with this item? Today's example is my own, made-to-measure, Navy Blazer. It's a merino wool herringbone with contrasting, Mother-of-Pearl buttons...

2026-04-15 - Daily Style Stand-Up: The Linen Henley
I'm going to try something for a few days and see if it catches on. One of the best things about this community is the great style discussions we have from time to time, and I'd like to see that occur on a more regular basis - which don't happen as often in OOTD posts (which I love) or random humor or motivational posts. To that end, I'm going to start posting daily style stand-up posts - to try to encourage style discussions each day around a specific item. Some days the item might be in all of our wheel-houses, other days it may be out of our comfort zone. There are only two rules: - Answer the three questions. Today's item is the linen Henley shirt. For today's example, I've picked a cotton-linen blend Henley in a light blue color from Abercrombie & Fitch. This shirt happens to be made with a 70% cotton and 30% linen blend.

Do it all business travel wardrobe?
Hey guys, I have a few conferences coming up where I'll be the keynote speaker. I want to be able to travel with no more than a backpack for clothing as my carry on will be mostly tech gear and camera equipment in a rolling hard case. I need some options for pants and light shirts that dont crease and can be worn for a couple days. I did just pick up a pair of Lulu Lemon ABC pants which I love but some other options would be great. Let me know what your favourite travel clothing for business looks like as well as any good travel hacks you've picked up.
Glasses
I've read plenty about style with regard to clothing and fit. But I haven't seen much regarding eye wear. I'm going to have an eye exam soon and need to pick out new frames. Any suggestions on style of frames for a guy in his 60's? What should I stay away from? color? full frame? rimless? etc.
Shoutout To Chad Smith & Dr. Jason Cole (Setting the Standard!)
Shoutout to a couple of members who set the tone for what makes this community great! First, @Chad Smith with a strong OOTD post. He did exactly what helps others learn: he shared the full outfit breakdown, the details, and the why behind it — from the navy cable knit and brown polo to the indigo 501s, oxblood double monks, matching strap, scent, and watch. That kind of post gives other men real examples they can study and apply. (Link to post) Second, @Dr. Jason Cole for jumping in to help @Ken Erickson with a style question on black tux shoes. That kind of thoughtful member-to-member guidance is exactly what builds a real brotherhood here — not just posting, but showing up to help someone make a better decision when it matters. Ken’s question itself was a great one too: plain toe, cap toe, wingtip, or even black dress boots with a tux. (Link to comment) Post your outfits. Ask your questions. Help your fellow members. That’s how we all get sharper!
