When did you have your *first* real garment of style? For me, it was a bespoke made-to-measure leather jacket from Wested Leather. Wested Leather was and still is the maker of the original Indiana Jones jacket. I remember thinking, "Wow. This is MY jacket made just for me." What is funny, I had other garments tailored for me growing up. Mom made me a shirt and a sweater. I owned a tuxedo so I could DJ weddings. But for some reason, that Raiders Leather jacket set me off in a whole new direction. I then realized that investing in quality is a rewarding "domino effect." Once you experience the fit of a bespoke piece, you can't help but elevate the rest of your wardrobe. You start thinking, "Why aren't my shirts, pants, etc..bespoke?" Itās an expensive journey, but one that defines a gentlemanās style. Itās a gradual process that typically takes several years, and gets better as time goes on. This is a highly personal journey that can, and should, lead each of us to our own unique style. As mentioned earlier, clothes are a reflection of oneās personality.
