@Nicholas Bailey if I ever have spending money again, I will definitely do that at some point. I do know and respect that rule, but it is hard to justify the expense when I am just a teacher.
My Saturday night outfit plans
Well Gents, i have long date planned with a wide variety of environments. Layering seems important. Heres a rough idea of what im going to wear, give me your honest thoughts, opinions, and criticisms. From the outer layers inward; Black wool peacoat, and grey/purple cashmere scarf. Black jacket, purple pocket square, black corduroy pants, ox blood leather belt, purple v neck t shirt. Dark brown Thursdays boots, and a brown leather watch strap. Silver chain and cross necklace, 2 silver rings. I could swap the watch strap for a silver metal one... Anyway, rip it apart! Whats good, whats bad, where can I improve?

The colors are a good mix. i Iike the play of pocket square with shirt. The wrong jacket button is buttoned. Personally I would go with black boots with black pants.

The dual reality of being a teacher
Yesterday, I got news that my car headlights need to be reconstructed. This means that until at least October, I will have essentially made no money since July as my salary has been continually wiped out with car expenses. That part of the job is dreadful, and I won't try to sugarcoat it. On the flip side, today, I got this email that reads "I can't speak on everyone's part, but I will say my sister and I have wanted to take one of your classes since our freshman year. Not only because I am a lover of history, but also because of all the wonderful things I heard about you. You are one of few teachers who have in a short time made me feel important and understood in the slightest. I love how you check in on everyone and supply comedy to every aspect of the day. Not to mention you're teaching a class most people wouldn't take the effort to better understand or let alone explain to others. Highschool has definitely been a struggle for me, as I know now was for you, but you make that struggle a little less. I thank you immensely for that. I do apoligize for emailing you so late at night. I simply did not want to leave any of my comments forgotten. Thank you for all you do and for generally being an awesome role model. There are few people who make a room as safe as you do. Thank you for your time!" Messages like this make it all worth it.

@Scott Brown Well the car had been ok, but someone hit it last month, and that's led to the issues, so I feel if I can just get through this, I will be ok.
