NEAT is so…. neat!
I’d been underestimating the impact of simply moving my body more through walking. I had a steps goals in the past that I would only meet mostly on the cardio days of my routine (3 days/week). Since starting BBB and watching @Darren Liu on his walking pad regularly, the lightbulb went offšŸ’”. Walking MORE will help me have LESS of all the things I’ve been struggling with. Less fat %, less brain fog, less disrupted sleep, and less worry about why the scale isn’t moving. Yes, there are other things that are complementary to my now 7 day/week step goal, but this is one that for some reason never clicked for me to simply increase before. 🤯 šŸ¤¦šŸ½ā€ā™€ļø

Hi! I'm Cristyne, originally from Singapore but I recently relocated to Spain. I'm about to begin two years of full-time nomadic travel while keeping my fitness routine strong. I'll be hunting for healthy food options wherever I go (one cheat day a week is definitely staying šŸ˜„). Coming from Singapore — where healthy, convenient food choices are everywhere — I'm still adjusting to finding good alternatives here in Spain and across Europe while I get used to the different culture and lifestyle. I've been trying calorie deficit and eating clean, but social gatherings keep derailing my body fat reduction plan, and right now I feel like I've hit a plateau — I'm kind of stuck and not seeing progress. My main goal is to reach peak condition: dropping to around 18% body fat, building more lean muscle and strength, and seriously improving my endurance… with the dream of eventually competing in HYROX Singles here in Europe! šŸ’ŖšŸ”„ However, I still miss home-cooked Chinese meals from home and can't live without spicy food. 🫠

.... to a very friendly fiber and plant focused combat.😊 Studies have shown huge benefits in gut health when people eat more than 30 (!) plant based foods per week. The magic lies in the variety not the total amount. If you are not familiar with the idea - check out the 'American Gut Project' and the studies which have come out of this since 2018. Or look here: https://www.bbc.co.uk/food/articles/plant_points_explained Why do I think this could be beneficial for us? āœØļø Well for starters, who does not want to have a healthy gut? āœØļø Also, more plants usually means more fiber and that seems to help a lot against cravings. āœØļø And finally, with all the meal prep going on for high protein meals, I tend to stick to the same ingredients very often. If you feel the same, this could be a reminder to make a few changes. So what counts towards the 30 items? šŸ„•Vegetables, pulses and legumes šŸŽFruits 🄜Seeds and Nuts šŸ„– grain ā˜•ļø coffee Herbs, if they are not just used in minimal amounts. And lets agree not to use spices here since they are used in such tiny amounts that there would be no benefit from fiber. Although they might be good for your gut- bacteria.
