It has been a while since my last update so here goes nothing. Work has been chaos - in all truth and honesty, is it ever not chaos? It was less a roller coaster, more a race car being pushed to its limits and a prayer that the engine will not burn. And when the adrenaline has been riding high for so long, there's only the crash thereafter - well, yes. On the dragon boat front, there has been quite a bit of eye-roll inducing happenings lately - they've rolled so much that my eyes may as well be white than black. But alas, we control what I can, and in this case, how I reacted to referred nonsense - with utter rage! No I'm joking - conversations were had (as calmly as possible). Training has been hard work - or as the Chinese say, bitter first, sweet later. (No blood), sweat and (not yet) tears are being poured into each training session in preparation for a major race in 2.5 months. There's still much work to be done, and we're going to keep working. As for the gym workouts, I don't know what to make of it. I've been going yet feeling like I'm not doing anything, just going through the motions of just doing the workouts. The silver lining - I've kind of gotten friendly with the regulars that I see every morning - like so familiar that they were shocked that I was done so early this morning. But I'm taking deep breaths, mind-reset, and tackling those weights again. Wherever you are, I'm sending all the positive energy and all the support and all the love. You are doing an amazing job. You are worthy! You got this!
