Big shout out to Kara! ♥️ Reversed her pre-diabetes diagnosis!
I want to share something about one of our clients, Kara. She's a doctor. Long hours, random shifts, eating whenever she could fit it in. For years she'd been losing and regaining the same 10-15 lbs. She'd lose weight for a couple of months, get sick of what she was doing, stop, and by April she was heavier than when she started. On top of that, she was pre-diabetic. So we didn't put her on a diet. We just taught her how food actually works. How calories work. How protein works. How to build meals that keep you full without eating like a monk. She was still eating takeout when she was too tired to cook. Still having snacks. Still living a NORMAL life. 🔥 Down 26 lbs. But the bigger win was that she reversed her pre-diabetes diagnosis. Had the opportunity to meet up with @Jennifer Crafton and finally meet her amazing daughter, Cheyenne and they also met my family. My family had so much fun spending time with them, and the connection was effortless and genuine. What started as an online connection through the BBB Inner Circle turned into a real-life meet up that felt like we had known each other for a long time. That’s the power of being part of a meaningful community and it brings people together in unexpected but beautiful ways. I’m truly blessed and grateful for @Jennifer Crafton for her time, her warmth, and for allowing us to share such a special experience together as families. “Time” is the biggest gift anyone can give because it can’t be bought. It requires someone to intentionally choose to spend it with you and that was the greatest gift @Jennifer Crafton gave me. 💛 Moments like this are a reminder that real connection can grow far beyond a screen.

I made it through one of the busiest weeks last week and the longest work day of the year for me yesterday. It was Prom yesterday. It was fun to see all the kids I work with dressed up and having fun outside of school. My son (my daughter is not old enough) went to prom with his lovely friend. So we took some pictures on main street before the dinner and dance. I am pretty warn out today. I am supposed to run today, but I think all I am going to do is walk. I am getting all my workouts in. I am a weightlifting machine! However the lack of cardio is really hard for me. I am not sure why. For some reason concentrating and spending more time weightlifting is totally messing with my head. But I am committed! So I am going to keep going! I may try to put more cardio back in this week if I can find the time. I think I have about 10 more days of general sleep deficit before I get back to normal. I can do it!
