Big shout out to Kara! ♥️ Reversed her pre-diabetes diagnosis!
I want to share something about one of our clients, Kara. She's a doctor. Long hours, random shifts, eating whenever she could fit it in. For years she'd been losing and regaining the same 10-15 lbs. She'd lose weight for a couple of months, get sick of what she was doing, stop, and by April she was heavier than when she started. On top of that, she was pre-diabetic. So we didn't put her on a diet. We just taught her how food actually works. How calories work. How protein works. How to build meals that keep you full without eating like a monk. She was still eating takeout when she was too tired to cook. Still having snacks. Still living a NORMAL life. 🔥 Down 26 lbs. But the bigger win was that she reversed her pre-diabetes diagnosis. That's the stuff that actually matters long term. A wedding...
• my cousin's Wedding ... Ihad it in my mind for a whole week, how can i manage to remain my no sugar diet or my calories deficit,in big northen African wedding it's a mission impossible 🙂, when you are surrounded by aunties who NOW think you're too thin, when they spend half of your life commenting about your too much space of a body 😌 yeah tough childhood + very supportive toxic family 😎 thank god i had a thick nerve to survive. And a thick emotion suppressor so i don't talk back otherwise we wouldn't be invited to this wedding 🙂 So beside the side talk about me losing weight wich i enjoyed it🌸_🌸 the tables were a threat i did make it through happily proudly, i had my breakfast at home (eggs, yoghurt, black coffee),at the wedding , it start around 5 pm so coffee!? Yes please no sugar... Traditional gâteau?! No thanks no need, and food 🥺here i almost cry, but i managed to cut half of the plates, -hardly managed- one bowl of freekeh soupe, one plate of 100g of meat and a lot of chickpeas -well under deficit control- 🙄like i said "i managed...hardly"... And 3 plates of salad, very well prepared salat ( lettuce, tomatoes,carrots,beetroot and tuna) now my very supportive toxic family understand my will of diet so they take care of my food as much as commenting about it, anyway a win is a win 🐸 at dinner, i was home, too exhausted to eat,from the gossip with my sisters about the wedding and from mentally fighting for my self esteem and my 0sugar diet, wich apparently a lot of my relatives need it but I'm the only one who did it 😈 It went well actually, i was really considering not going just because of my diet, i wouldn't risk it because of one day and then i push my self to test it, like this is my life now and me and others need to adjust to it. The day after me and my sisters went to trip to another city, another test to my self control i couldn't wait to tell you guys all about it🤩 but not now i will manage my words first and it had a lot of photos , i wanted to show you everything so I'll post about it later😗
