Can you believe we haven't even been together for three weeks yet?!?!?!
If you haven't seen my other post about our first live meet up tomorrow, make sure you check it out.
Okay, the stats are pretty impressive this week. You've all been doing amazing work posting, referring, and commenting. I can't express enough how much I love the vibe of this group!
Here are the metrics for the past 7 days:
Members: 109
Rank in Discovery: #284 (+117)
Active Members (last 30 days): 99%
Highest Activity Day: 631 activities
Lowest Activity Day: 296 activities
Traffic (last 7 days): 141 About page visits (+23)
Sign Ups (last 7 days): 28 (-4)
Conversion Rate: 19.86% (-7.26%)
The Context:
I'm so happy about how fast we've been growing even though it's been a bit slower in the past week. One of the reasons for this slower growth is that I have had to deny several requests because they were not Skoolers, so just a reminder that this group is for Skoolers only.
Why? I'll discuss in tomorrow's meeting.
Our ranking in Discovery is phenomenal, and I'm so happy about it. My goal is to get to page one so that all of our businesses can get the best visibility possible! The number one reason for this insane growth is due to all of the activity and engagement you all are doing, so keep up the great work.
If it seems a bit redundant to be posting similar things every day - it's not. We have new members every day, but also we are public, so people can find the group and see everything posted inside without joining. And, it's also indexed by Google and other search engines, so it is in your best interest to post every day.
Having said that, try to post variations on a theme to keep it fresh. Share different things about your business, share different tips as teasers to your group, etc.
I won't do themes every week, but last week's themes were a bit of a peek into the sorts of things you can do with your posts.
One reminder, though, please remember that you can comment as much as you want (and are encouraged to), but everyone is limited to one new post a day. Why? I'll explain tomorrow... π
Now let's talk about the drop in the conversion rate. I've tweaked the About page a couple of times, so I'm not sure how that is related to the conversion rate, but if you have suggestions, please feel free to let me know.
One of the reasons could be because people who are not Skoolers are seeing it and are self-excluding when they realize the group is for them.
The other thing I'm wondering about is whether or not the public is seeing it and just perusing the posts (which is actually what we want). If people are landing on the About page or clicking on the About page, but are just viewers and not potential members, that might be bringing the conversion rate down.
Either way, 20% is still on par with the average for free groups, so I'm not at all concerned.
GIVEAWAY:
We are doing a $50 Amazon gift card at the end of the month for anyone who has made a referral in September, and it's not too late to join (as long as you live in an area where Amazon is available and it's not illegal!).
All you have to do to enter is refer a fellow Skooler and have them actually join up. Each person you refer gets you one entry into the draw, and the draw will be made live on October 1st!
Here are the referrals thus far (Skool referrals are untraceable. They may be from people clicking on my profile or they may be from Search).
Skool: 19
Me (Shannon): 9
Let me know what you think! I'm curious to hear your insights. π
