I focused on growing my community… then this happened 👀
As a YouTube growth strategist who teaches the power of community, I decided to put my own advice to the test. When I launched a 90-Day Challenge alongside my members, I had two clear choices: Option 1: Focus on growing my YouTube channel Option 2: Focus on growing my community I chose Option 2 — and here’s what happened between September 1 and October 10: 📈 My community grew from 38 to 85 members 🎥 My YouTube channel grew by 59 subscribers All because I focused on community first. Here’s why it worked: By showing up consistently inside my Skool community, I created YouTube content that served my members’ real questions and needs. That content naturally attracted more of the right viewers — people who weren’t just watching, but joining the community too. Focusing on my community has made every single YouTube view count. I’m attracting aligned viewers, building stronger connections, and learning exactly what my members want and need. Community growth = channel growth. Every time. 💪 By way, if you'd like learn more about establishing systems for growing your community and channel → Join Here

Tip Tuesday - Second Brain
Hi all, for Tip Tuesday, I want to share a little about a book I'm reading and how I use Microsoft 365 Loop to implement the lessons to improve productivity. The book is called Building a Second Brain by Tiago Forte. The problem: Many of us have so many tasks to keep track of for work and in our personal life. Try to remember it all or writing notes on random sticky notes (guilty) causes our brains to constantly keep spinning in the background trying not to forget. This is exhausting for your brain and impairs your productivity when you cannot find those random notes. The solution: Create a digital space to capture all your ideas, thoughts, tasks, etc. Once you get things out of your head and into a place you consistently use, it is amazing how much brain power and energy it frees up. You will also start seeing patterns and ideas form in different ways. I use Microsoft Loop to build my digital brain. Loop is a collaboration tool that you can use to create pages, sub pages, capture links, dump screenshots, and more. The thing like about it for work specifically is I can create containers inside a page and share just that one part with others while keeping other stuff private. My first page in loop is called brain dump. This is where I quickly jot down ideas and thoughts during the day so that my ADHD brain can get back on task without feeling like I need to task switch or forget. Some stuff stays in the brain dump as unstructured thoughts. Others get moved to the appropriate page. For example, Niki mentioned the other day that she needed a way to speak to Skool to reduce typing. I suggested using the dictate function in Word then copy/paste the info into Skool. Then I thought, that would make a great tip of the week video. So in the brain dump it went. Then when I was in organizing phase, the video went on a list of videos ideas that I pull from to create content. How does this relate to my Skool? I help people with productivity, organizing data, and optimizing business processes. Yes my tools are Microsoft but much of this can be tool agnostic.

#SundaySelebration 🎉
Is the alliteration forced? Yes, but the connections aren’t! I can’t help but notice how many people have joined this group and have never posted or have only posted once. That’s no way to grow! 😉 So, today, I’d like to invite anyone who’s benefited from the Classifieds to share in the comments how you’ve benefited (new members, collaboration, new idea, friendship, etc) and what you did to activate that result (post regularly, post in a certain way, comment on others posts, etc). Hopefully we can inspire those who have been holding back to re-engage and also benefit! Let’s start Selebrating! 😉

BIG NEWS: You too can post in the classroom!
UPDATE: Please be aware that any listings submitted from now until I release tiers will show up on page 2… You may have noticed that some people have "ads" in the classroom, which allows them to highlight an offer. This offer may be something free or paid, and it can be outside of Skool, so it's a great place to lead people to a webinar, sales page, or other offer. The first 30 people who signed up were given the bonus of a free place in the classroom for a minimum of one week; however, not everyone was ready to place such an offer just yet. So, I've decided to open it up to the first 30 people who submit something to me. Please note that you must advertise yourself and your offers in the ad, not affiliate offers. (Save that for #FriendFriday). ALSO NOTE: There is a new way to submit your ad. Step One: Create a DRAFT course in your own classroom exactly the way you want your ad to look. Step Two: Go back to the main classroom page and click on the three dots in the top right corner of the course. Step Three: Click on SHARE COURSE KEY, and DM me the link. Do NOT delete the course. Step Four: After I have sent you a confirmation message that your course (ad) has been copied into the CLASSIFIEDS, you may then delete it from your classroom. I expect this to be a paid opportunity in the future. If you were one of the first 30 people to sign up, don't worry, I will still hold your spot for when you are ready. 😉 Any question, please ask!

#MetricsMonday Sept 29
If you're new here, #MetricsMonday is something I do, well, every Monday. It was requested by the members so that you can all see how we are doing for visibility. Here are this week's numbers: Members: 175 Sign Ups: 34 (-1) About Page Visitors: 172 (-33) Conversions: 19.77% (+2.7%) Rank: #192 in Money (+13) Highest Activity Day: 528 (Tuesday) Lowes Activity Day: 258 (Sunday) The Context: I'm super excited to see our numbers steadily climb. Thank you for all your referrals, and welcome to all the new members! We've had only 6 people churn since we started almost 5 weeks ago, which definitely helps our ranking. Speaking of ranking, yay to being under 200! We were actually at #187 mid-week, but our activity is generally quite low on the weekends, so that always brings us down a bit right before I do these posts. Let's try to increase visibility for all by posting, commenting, or liking once a day. Even if it seems a bit redundant to post every day, you are not boring us or repeating yourself (especially if you share a new part of your group each time). We have new members added daily, and it definitely helps you to be top of mind and top of the feed. Not only that, but (as you know), we are a public group and so your posts are being indexed and are searchable on the great big world wide web... 😉 I've seen so many amazing collaborations and relationships form here, it's really inspiring. It's truly a place where you get out what you put in. And this week, let's make a concerted effort to post and engage on the weekend and see what that does to our ranking and our visibility... Our conversions were really good this week, and we were actually up to 24% midweek! Keep talking about the CLASSIFIEDS to other Skoolers you "meet" and let's get more eyes on our groups and our businesses. Remember, even if you can't promote to people in other communities, you can still promote to them by bringing them over here where you are welcome to freely talk about how you help others with your products and services!
