This Stops Being About Clothes
There's a shift that happens for some men. They stop asking "does this look okay?" and start knowing. Not because they memorized rules — but because they've built a standard for themselves. A quiet confidence that doesn't need to announce itself. You see it in how they walk into a room. In how people respond to them before they say a word. In how much mental energy they have left for things that actually matter. That's not style. That's identity. And identity isn't bought — it's built, through consistent habits and deliberate choices made over time. That's what RMRS Premium is designed for. Not trends. Not outfit grids. A structured path to becoming the man who looks sharp because of who he is — not what he's wearing. If that shift sounds like something you want, the door's open: https://www.skool.com/rmrs/plans

Casual knit blazers
Ok, so I have sportcoats and suits. No issue there. But I am heading for a vacation in Paris and several places has a blazer / sportcoat requirement. Now I am not bringing anything formal. Fact is I will be packing fairly light with a suitcase for 10 days. But my wife does not like my sportcoats with jeans look as I wear texture in my sportcoats. So I am thinking a very packable knit sportcoat for dinners. Traditionally not my thing. I lean towards more formal or rocker. What are your thoughts on these types of things? I kind of like and dislike all at the same time lol.

Last night, I attended what I thought was a banquet for Track and Field but was actually an awards show for all athletes at my son's high school. Ever since his third race as a Freshman, Logan has been the fastest long-distance runner at his school. His girlfriend (Jackie) of two years has been even more dominating in running, setting school records in virtually every long-distance running events. They both won some smaller awards along the way, but the last award - arguably the most prestigious (especially for parents) - is the scholar athlete. This is a special recognition for students who are very high achieving in their classes and dominant in their sport. The girls had six nominees and two winners, including Jackie with a 4.95 GPA (only missing a 5.0 because one class did not count as 5.0 eligible) - she was also one of the few non-seniors to ever receive this award. For the boys, Logan was called up first and the one other boy. As soon as they called his name, we knew Logan would not get it. This other boy won almost everything that night and was, admittedly, one hell of an accomplished scholar athlete. It was like being the only player in MLB to be considered for the MVP but you're going against Shoei Ohtani. Even Logan wasn't crushed, as even being in the same consideration against this other athlete was a huge compliment. Today is a very light meeting day and most of my time will be spent on my big client deliverable due on Friday EOD. I am also expecting to receive my Montblanc 149... take 2. The changed the nib when I purchased it to a bold nib, but it had problems with ink flow. When I called the retailer, they sprung into action and moved quickly to get it resolved. Here's to hoping it is resolved! No clue why it gave me CPW data again, but no time to omit! I do like how the vest brings down the formality of the rest of the suit. • Shirt — DS-010 (Charles Tyrwhitt) | CPW: $2.78. A crisp white CT spread-collar French-cuff dress shirt in Burlington-weave twill. Two-ply cotton with a non-iron finish and soft hand, featuring a 5.5" spread collar perfect for today's Half Windsor knot. The mother-of-pearl buttons and adjustable square-edge French cuffs elevate this workhorse into board-meeting territory while maintaining all-day comfort.

Three Colors
Yesterday, I applied the three-color rule by creating a sophisticated palette based on tan, grey, and shades of lavender. My tan jacket and grey trousers establish a balanced and neutral base, which comprises the majority of the look. The lavender micro-check shirt introduces a complementary secondary color that adds texture and visual interest without overwhelming the foundation. Finally, the rich brown of my leather shoes and belt, along with the navy pocket square, serve as sharp, deliberate accents that complete the polished and intentional outfit.
