Getting Ready for the Rodeo
This look is rodeo-ready without trying too hard—polished, relaxed, and confident in that “I’ve done this before” kind of way. The brown sport coat and olive trousers hit that sweet spot between Western tradition and grown-man refinement, while the bolo tie and hat quietly say you know your way around a fairground and a good bourbon. All together, it feels like the kind of outfit that gets compliments from strangers, nods from old timers, and maybe an extra look or two when the rodeo lights come on. Classic Western confidence, dialed in just right 🤠

@Richard Pollock Validation brother! Imagine all the comments from people who didn't vocalize them. Keep it up!
Casual Monday
Today’s OOTD leans into warm, earthy tones that feel classic, masculine, and easy to wear. The tan leather jacket adds structure, while the brown suede Chelsea boots bring texture and understated sophistication. I kept the details intentional with a bold Invicta on the wrist and a touch of Dior Homme to finish things off. The goal here is a relaxed, grown-man look that’s polished without feeling forced—something any guy can wear with confidence.

I’m torn about these shirts
I have been wanting a Collars and Co shirt for a long time now but couldn’t convince myself to pay $80 for basically a collar! Yes, I’m frugal. So when one of my suppliers started offering the same style for less than $30 retail I bought every color they made. I’m wearing one for the first time today. The comfort is fine. I did put on an undershirt because I was worried that the polyester material might be cool on a 38 degree day. If has a very slick finish that I am not a fan of honestly. I have never owned a Collars and Co but suspect it is the same material. My problem is this, I realize that Collars and Co did the development work, did the advertising and built up the popularity of the shirt. They deserve to be reimbursed for all of that. On the other hand, I suspect the shirt comes out of the same area and probably the same plant as the Collars and Co shirt. My final justification was that it will be worn as a layering piece and only a small amount of the shirt is actually seen. What are your thoughts on this subject?

You're grappling with a classic and very common ethical dilemma in modern retail, where the accessibility of a lower-priced alternative clashes with the desire to reward the original innovator's investment and marketing efforts. The reality of global manufacturing means it's highly probable your shirt comes from a similar production ecosystem, a common practice that makes popular designs widely available at different price points. Ultimately, your justification to use it as a layering piece reflects a practical compromise, balancing your appreciation for the original concept with your own frugal and functional needs.

Busy work week ahead. Today's outfit is the first in my AI app 2.0, attempting to base it off of a new AI agent who was developed specifically for men's sartorial arena. It's got a lot of different colors, but most of them are base colors. Let me know what you think, as critiques are always welcome! Outfit: Shirt: Brisk custom (MTO) mid-blue twill, Pima cotton, barrel cuffs. Although there were some problems with the shirt, Brisk customer service was one of the best experiences I have had in this industry. Slacks: Santorelli light gray wool slacks Vest: Perry Ellis cream/bone linen 4-button vest Tie: Savile Row Co. navy silk tie with pink fleur-de-lys Belt: Nordstrom dark brown leather belt with silver buckle Shoes: TBL Mallorca black whole-cut Oxfords Socks: Fort Belvedere midweight cotton OTC socks in grey with blue shadow stripe Pocket Square (hidden!): Charles Tyrwhitt solid white linen pocket square Watch: Fossil Neutra quartz with tan/cream faceplate, silver chassis, and dark brown leather strap Business Card Case: Fort Belvedere dark brown bison leather with patina finish & tan leather interior

Nice look, Sir. For a minute I thought one trouser leg was caught up or just shorter, then it dawned on me, oh, he's showing the socks too! Doah!
