āļø Yesterday I Got Gassed Up⦠Twice š
Yesterday I went in for my monthly pedicure and my nail tech did NOT ease into it: āWooowww Lena⦠every time I see you, you look skinnier and prettier. Iām not buttering you up and you look AMAZING.ā Me internally: okay maāam, Iāll take it š I told her Iāve been focused on nutrition and workouts and she said, āWhatever youāre doing⦠keep doing it.ā āļø After that, I met my mom for coffee and breakfastāaka my #1 supporter. She asked, āDo you want your coffee with your Elite protein shake?ā Obviously yes. My mom makes the bomb coffee āļøšŖ She looks at me and says, āEvery time I see you, you look happier⦠and skinnier.ā Then immediately switches into Mom Modeā¢: āAre you feeling fatigued at all with this weight loss?ā I told her noāI actually feel great and stronger. She looked relieved and reminded me (because mom) that if I ever feel tired, to check my nutrition first and go see a doctor if needed. Balance + care = mom wisdom ā¤ļø She also told me sheās committed to her Jillian Michaels DVD 5x/week. After I fixed a few movements for her, she said she can finally do it without pain or discomfortāand that low-key made my whole day š„¹ Moral of the story: āļø Getting your nails done = unexpected hype squad āļø Protein coffee = approved by mom āļø Progress shows up in energy, confidence, and random compliments āļø Teaching your parents good form is a non-scale win š¬ Fun question: Who has been your most unexpected hype person lately? š
