SOTD: Parfums de Marly Sedley
Back to Parfums de Marly Sedley today as I keep working through the line, and this one continues to stand out as one of my favorite fresh fragrances. Released in 2019 and created by Olivier Cresp and Hamid Merati-Kashani, it opens with bergamot, lemon, grapefruit, mint, and mandarin, then settles into lavender, rosemary, geranium, and a smooth woody-musky base. What keeps pulling me back to Sedley is how effortless it feels. The citrus and mint give it this bright, almost sparkling freshness up top, but it never goes thin or overly sharp. Thereâs a cool, clean depth underneath that keeps it feeling polished the whole way through. For me, this is one of those ideal warm-weather grabsâeasy for daytime, casual outings, errands, or just being outside. Fresh without being boring, refined without trying too hard. That balance is what makes it so good.
