I am so excited about this I couldn't wait to come in here and post. Y'all know I'm a HUGE fan of Imaginary Authors. I joined their loyalty program when it was created in 2024 and I've been buying their fragrances exclusively on the website to get into higher and higher levels. Each level has better and better perks. At level 3 you get access to their Rare Books Room which has some of their discontinued and sold out fragrances available. At level 4, they offer an exclusive fragrance available only to people who have reached that level. Level 5 - the highest, which I have not yet reached - gives insider access to fragrances in development and a $200 loyalty reward on your birthday. They have teased the Level 4 exclusive fragrance for about a year now, showing the name, Hall of Hallucination, but also showing it as unavailable. It finally released last week, and I used some of my tax return to jump on it. I've been waiting like a kid on Christmas for it to show up in my mailbox, and it arrived today, two days early! It's now the most expensive fragrance that I've paid full price for in my collection. Doing the initial out of box test spray, I am overjoyed. It's beautiful. Funky, kind of weird, and lives up to the name. It just popped up on Fragrantica, and I got to be the first one to click "I Have." I'm so happy right now I could burst. I'll do a full review in a couple of weeks when I've had some time to wear it for a bit and get to know it better, but so far I'm absolutely chuffed. :D The samples that came with it were for Bull's Blood and Slow Explosions. It also came with a free tote bag.

@Andrew G. Yeah, I think I've earned the #1 IA fanboy title, LOL. This makes 11 full bottles, and I've sampled all but 3 of their fragrances, including discontinued and limited editions.

@Felix Urbanek That one is called "Cape Heartache." It's a mix of strawberry and pine, so it's a little bit unusual. I personally like it, but would recommend getting a sample of it before buying a full bottle. Imaginary Authors has some fantastic discovery kits, and you can customize them to fit your personal tastes. I would recommend: Memoires of a Trespasser St Julep Yesterday Haze Cape Heartache The Abandoned Mansion A Little Secret Sundrunk In Love With Everything My alltime favorites have been discontinued, but if you can find them: O, Unkown Telegrama Blend No 83

I can vouch. Loved my last order
New delivery and SOTD - Fugazzi Pomegranoudh
I got my sample in yesterday and sprayed it on last night. It opens with a deep, dark pomegranate note tempered with red fruity notes. The Oudh makes itself apparent fairly quickly and creates a very dark, rich, woody take on red fruit. It's like a glass of Pom in a fragrance. It's perfect for fall / winter / spring date nights and evenings out. It might work in the summer, too, but I'll have to wait to try that as we are having a very mild spring week at the moment with temps in the 60s and 70s (very unusual for this time of year in Texas). Longevity is monstrous. I did two test sprays on my wrist last night, and woke up with it still going strong. It was still very present even after taking a shower and washing my hands several times through out the day today. It finally disappeared around noon after eating lunch and wandering around the mall. It was also an excellent follow up to the Hall of Hallucination that I got yesterday, too. It definitely complimented the scent at the end of the day. This might be my favorite designer fragrance of the year so far. It releases in the US market, and you can test it at Nordstrom's on May 7th. I will definitely be getting a bottle, but at $250 for a full bottle, I'll be waiting a while for it, and hoping it shows up at discounters at some point. But if I do end up splurging at some point, don't be surprised. I liked it so much that today I went to Nordstrom's to check out the rest of Fugazzi's lineup and came home with samples of Angel Dust and Vanilla Haze. I'm definitely going to be checking out more from this house.

@Ben E Yeah, so techinicaly it wasn't free - it cost $9 to ship - but I think it ended up being a decent value. The extrait is going to last for a good long time. One spray was enough to get me through the better part of a two days, and the scent trail was farely strong

@Lon Chaneyfield I went to Nordstrom's yesterday and tested a few of the others. Wearing Angel Dust today, and I may buy a smaller decant of it later in the fall. Vanilla Haze is up next, and it's a fantastic take on masculine vanillas. The others I didn't get much of a chance to try, but Fugazzi appears to be making a big push on it's fragrance lines, so you will likely see more coming out soon.
What happened to Amouage?
I’m in Neiman Marcus and there are only six fragrances, no arrangements with the distributor to restock.

Wow. I'm on a friendly basis with the Amouage guy at the counter here in Austin. I don't have time to swing by tonight, but I can hop over this week and see what he says. Maybe Amouage wasn't doing enough volume? Hard to believe, but with all the changes and buyouts and corporate restructurings, maybe they aren't renewing their contract. Same thing is happening with Byredo at some of the smaller perfume stores - Byredo got bought and the new owner is withdrawing from any store that doesn't hit a certain sales threshold.

It could also be that Neiman Marcus is getting ready to close that location. They are closing at least 3 more stores by the end of summer, though they haven't been announced. If that's the case, then they wouldn't restock the store.
Applying Your Fragrance
Simple enough question— no wrong answer, but curiosity is present after reading a review about the staining of fragrances on clothing. I’m curious about how some of you may apply/ wear your fragrance:

Post shower and moisturizer. At night, I usually do it after I get home and wash my face a couple of hours before I go to bed.

"At least it's not drugs," I say to myself as I buy 37 fragrances with no shelf space and a tight budget. "At least it's not drugs..."
