Premiering Davidoff Cool Water
As I said before, I bought these one out of nostalgia. It was my signature scent on my first student’s trip to Spain and Portugal in 1992. It was launched in 1988 created by perfumer Pierre Bourdon, same perfumer how made the masterpiece Creed Green Irish Tweed launched in 1985, being Cool Water a clear inspiration on it. Cool Water was ahead of its time and set the trend for many fresh aquatic designers fragrances along the years , therefore remaining timeless. I’m giving it a first full wear since then, I could defiantly say that lacks the magic of its glory days. But I’m definitely picking up resemblances from my memory of the scent. Since it is a freshie, I will not crave it as much as back into those years. However, when I feel the need to travel back to those days, it will be there to help me out. It opens very green/herbal/fresh, transitioning to a more floral, musky, ambery and woody scent. Projection and longevity nowadays are very soft to my taste. I prefer the Intense version.

All the kids in school wore this and I wore aqua di giò. I get to wear it now and love it.

@Eduardo Figueroa I didn’t want to be like them but I envied them. Whenever I wear it people ask what it is. I completely agree with you.

Where do I find images like this on different fragrances? I find them extremely useful.

@Robert Sheard thank you, I see I have to pay for that 😢. How many fragrances are in there approximately? (Might make me dig deeper in my pockets)

@Robert Sheard oh wow that is amazing!!!! Thank you. Is there a place to go to see the whole line of a house? I get so confused with all the flankers. I’m assuming just go to the official website? I’m trying to see which ones have discontinued fragrances as well.
Back home from vacations 🛳️🎤🛬
2 AM Good Friday arrival from vacations. I just finished emptying my bags and organizing everything (the jet lag is real). Just wanted to make a quick share of the dent I made to the 2 fragrances (one for the day and one for the night) that traveled with me for 20 days. They were practically new before vacation. But the 9PM Rebel atomizer extracts a lot of juice. 😬😅

Do you shower to get rid of the scent before applying the evening or do you layer?

Hello everyone. I’m a pretty private individual but to sum things up I’m a professional driver, back in school to pursue a new career, single father, and a vet. My only hobby I really had (due to time constraints) was participating in Warhammer 40K lore and gaming. I would like to be in better shape (at least be the best person of myself I can be) and recently got into the world of fragrances. I got a lil crazy and I accumulated about 100 in a 3 month time span. I would like to learn everything I can about scents and the industry from the chemistry, the ingredients used, the history of the houses, and when and where to use which fragrance. I hope to learn a lot from you all. Thanks for having me.

@Jonathan Ventura I needed to expand my 4 fragrances (thought I was cultured 🤌) so my fiancé got me a tester kit from Sephora with like 10 designer brands, one was one I wore since high school (mom got me) so I thought I knew what I had to know. I went through all of them spraying them on paper towel pieces (didn’t have smell sticks) cause I ran out of places on my skin, and I had to just keep sniffing away, I was addicted. Then I experienced Tom Ford’s Tobacco Vanille in the set and I had an out of body experience. I’ve been chasing that since.
Louis Vuitton Imagination
I ordered a sample of Imagination. What’s you thoughts on this one? For me it’s a scent of luxurious shampoo. It’s soooo good but wayyyyyy too overpriced. I really would like to buy this but my mind tells me “just don’t”.

I have Marwa (love the scent, the bottle, the pressured atomizer, the cost) but is it at all similar to this hype beast?

New to understanding scents. I have about 85 scents (2/3 dupes) and about 25 decants. I want to learn as much as I can.
