Got this brand new Sauvage by Perfumer Francis Kurkdjian for a deal at Ulta between my points and a 20 percent off coupon. Save 90 dollars so it helped make the price tag a little more reasonable for me. The size is 50ML bottle. Presentation looks like Elixir but a slightly smaller bottle with a really good atomizer. This one smells great, it smells niche in a designer bottle. This to me smells like a Amouage Royal tobacco or even Amouage Interlude Black Iris. It’s has a very strong incense opening that settles into hints of Sauvage Elixir licorice and woods before getting bits of sweetness. But that in incense stays throughout the scent. This one is very strong off my skin. 2 sprays filled up my room. I would say this one isn’t work safe/ fall and winter profile for sure. Daytime or evening/ casual or formal. While I love this scent so far, I can see having trouble for me to wear it for the right occasion. I think at current retail price of 205.00 dollars for a 1.7oz is a little steep, I think if you could get it 150 or less would be more worth it to me. I have never been a house Sauvage fan, but I will say this one smells the best and highest quality of the entire lineup. Not blind buy safe, sample first if you can.

I’ve really been leaning into the clean boy, Mediterranean, linen oceanic look. I got pacific chill a while back and adore it, but I’m looking for a new summer freshie. So far I’m stuck between French Riviera by Mancera or Torino 21 by Xerjoff. I’d love to finally own a Xerjoff, and really enjoy the dna of this one, but it might be redundant as I already have a fragrance occupying the minty herbal fruity slot (pacific chill), so I’m leaning French Riviera now. I need more high quality marine fragrances as well. What do you brothers think?

Match #30 in the second-chance bracket features Gucci Guilty Pour Homme against Givenchy Gentleman Society. I like both of these fragrances, but they really occupy different spaces in my collection. Gucci Guilty Pour Homme (2011, created by Jacques Huclier) opens with a fresh burst of lemon and lavender before settling into orange blossom, cedar, and patchouli. It's bright, easy to wear, and a fragrance I genuinely enjoy. My one complaint is that it doesn't project very much or last particularly long on my skin. Givenchy Gentleman Society (2023, created by Karine Dubreuil-Sereni, Maïa Lernout, and Fabrice Pellegrin) is aimed at a different occasion. The blend of sage, cardamom, vanilla, narcissus, and vetiver gives it a richer, smoother personality that's perfect for cooler weather or a night out. Both deserve a place in a collection, but this matchup goes to Gentleman Society. It's simply the more complete and satisfying fragrance for my tastes. Givenchy Gentleman Society survives to the next round, while Gucci Guilty Pour Homme is eliminated from the tournament.
