Yeah so I enthusiastically got 14 Zaharoff samples and I’ve been testing them furiously over the past few days. Here’s the leaderboard so far: The winners: - Seraphim Blue: full bottle worthy! Ooh I like this, smooth airy aquatic aromatic sparkly blue that’s pretty unique. Good projection and ok longevity. One of the rare fragrances with Iris that I not only tolerate, but actually love. This is a contender for a bottle - Tabac: full bottle worthy! I need to give this another wear but it’s a uniquely fresh tobacco scent that I really enjoy, and I think it would be wearable in warmer weather than my other tobacco frags can handle. This is also a contender for a bottle - Oracle: full bottle worthy! Citrus, amber, wood & spice. It does kind of remind me of a richer, spiced Lucius, which I love. But it doesn’t seem super versatile and I’m pretty full on cool weather scents and so I don’t think it will be a good fit in my collection - Signature Royale: possibly full bottle worthy! Just a very well balanced, gentlemanly woody spicy aromatic, lots going on in it, seems versatile for year round, dress up or dress down. In a larger collection, I would consider getting this. - Citrine: possibly full bottle worthy! This is like a woody spiced creamsicle - woody, orange spicy sweet that could work all year. In a larger collection, I would also consider getting this - Seraphim Musk: hmm. I’m kind of on the fence with this one. I kind of maybe liked it and thought with more wears it could grow on me, but my new gf hated it and so that kind of tipped the balance. I think I’ll give it another test wear just to be sure, but if I were to go with any Seraphim, it would absolutely be Seraphim Blue I had pretty visceral negative reactions to a bunch of others (eg surprise! Got this because I was told it is a dupe of Layton (maybe Layton Exclusif), a staple in any collection. I enjoy the fragrance, I will wear again. However, I know noses are different, but I am only picking up woody, warm spicy, aromatic, with a hint of citrus. I can’t smell the apple, lavender, vanilla (vanilla is my favorite would love suggestions), cardamom, or sandalwood. Does this need to macerate or do I need to refine my senses more?
