Ok… I’ve received something totally unexpected. I feel like it was meant to be and I’ll explain. What had happened was I got a message from @Antonio O. Centeno about Mission Fragrances. Now, I think after being here for over two years and being one of the first brothers in this group, that the purchase of this set would get me closer to Level 9. But, new job, the price point of MF, awaiting my first paycheck, and being responsible in not making extravagant buys had me declining (yet again) this purchase period. Bothered by this, I spent the day at my new job working diligently and focused. On my lunch, I got a message from the owner of the bar I manage, asking if I was coming by tonight (trivia night has a cash prize of $1000 now). I told him I was and he informed me had something for me. Well, I arrived here at my bar and that something was… is a gift… HE GIFTED ME A BOTTLE OF FRAGRANCE!!! We both have the same fragrance guy and he gifted me “King by Bharara”. I looked this up and it smells divine. I sprayed it on me, he took a whiff and said, “Yep… I knew this one would be perfect for you! The King is back!!” I’m enjoying the compliments of my aromatic aura while I smoke my Sin Compromiso cigar from Dunbarton Tobacco and Trust. In more ways than one, I feel like I’ve returned to things that I stepped away from— including this group. I used to greet all the newcomers and post reviews of my SOTD or scented gifts in my own style— I miss doing that. Now that I’m working, I have a chance to relax and get my fragrance noise turned up loud. What I can say about King is that it’s a bold, citrus-fresh forward fragrance with fruity-sweet notes. This is a man’s fragrance from Bharara Beauty, that was launched in 2021 and has a celebrity endorsement from Canelo Álvarez. It opens bright with orange, bergamot, and lemon, then slides into a playful tutti-frutti heart before settling into a warm musky-vanilla-amber base that radiates charisma and confidence. It’s not Mission Fragrances, but it’s still a beautiful gift from the bar owner—and in my eyes, from The Universe as well. He didn’t have to give it, yet in doing so he reminded me of my presence, my worth, and that I deserved both this fragrance and the full-time opportunity. Long-lasting and versatile through every season, it’s refined enough for morning to midnight—and comes with a portable tiny travel spray so I can carry that power anywhere I go.
