Side by Side Review Acqua di Parma
Many of you asked for an immediate review on the two Acqua di Parma Fragrances that I picked up yesterday, so here is my initial impressions based on a 2 hours wear. First I would like to let everyone know that these fragrances were not cheap and I paid full price ($350 each) for 50ML bottles (only size available). As a collector of Acqua di Parma fragrances, it made sense to get them, and I personally wanted to get them first. I am blessed to be able to make purchases like this and really enjoy sharing my blessings with my family, friends, and Brothers! Introducing Acqua di Parma Zafferano Ambrosia - Extrait de Parfum (30% Concentration) and Acqua di Parma Gelsomino A Freddo Ambrosia - Extrait de Parfum (30% Concentration). You can definitely tell these are an Extrait de Parfum by the sheen of oil left on the skin. Ambrosia is defined as ā€œThe food of the Godsā€, so the meaning in the naming methodology here is to indicate that the scent is not of this world. Zafferano Ambrosia (Not on Fragrantica yet) The opening is a strong Orange scent. At 15 minutes the citrus blast has settled down and I am picking up a creamy spiciness from the Ginger note. At 30 minutes I am starting to get the Leather/Floral scent from the Saffron mixed with the Citrus and Ginger. 60 minutes, at this point into the wear I am getting the sweetness from the Vanilla and Amber, but can still also smell the Saffron (the dominant note of this fragrance). At 120 minutes the dry down of this fragrance is a soft floral and semi-sweet scent that is well balanced and strong, but not overbearing. This fragrance has had movement since the initial spray and it may continue to change as the wear continues. Gelsomino A Freddo Ambrosia The opening is a blast of Frankincense. At 15 minutes I am starting to pick up some of the spiciness from the Cardamom. At 30 minutes I am picking up a green accord that is helping to settle the spiciness from the initial opening. I am also starting to pick up on the Myrrh note. 60 minutes, at this point into the wear I an getting a creamy and powdery accord that is soft and subtle. I am getting some of the woody notes and the fragrance is balancing out. At 120 minutes dry down of this fragrance is a citrusy, yet creamy and slightly powdery scent profile with dry and soft woods lingering in the background. There is definitely movement to this fragrance so this continue to change as the wear continues.

Aura by Aaron Terrence Hughes
Newish to the collection is Aura. I’m still learning nuances of this and although it isn’t listed, I swear I smell Star anise in the opening. It opens with the citrus mint and rum with a bit of saltiness. Not bright but loud and present. After an hour the sweetness kicks in slightly along with a patchouli and hay/vetiver oak moss ground floor. Bottle is excellent. The atomizer is insanely good. The only knock is the cap which is thin metal and plastic. Sillage so far is around 3-5 ft Projection is good on this fall day. The scent is fun/happy and three season. Longevity tbd. 7.5-8/10 atm.

The Final Countdown !!! (t minus 72 hrs....)
Three days left, fellas! We’re standing right at the edge of the finish line, and the hardest part is already behind us! Think back to those early days when the temptation felt constant and the idea of a whole month without buying a new bottle seemed impossible. Yet here we are, three days away from proving to ourselves that discipline, patience and community support can win out over impulse. This final stretch is about more than just restraint. It’s about pride in what we’ve accomplished and the habits we’ve built along the way. Every skipped ā€œadd to cart,ā€ every scroll past these endless discount posts, every moment we leaned on each other in the #Brotherhood; it's those small victories stacked up into something bigger. We didn’t just say no to buying, we said yes to growth, focus and proving that we have control over the passion that drives us. Now it’s time to lock in and finish strong. Don’t let these last few steps trip you up! You’ve made it too far to stumble now. Remember, this challenge isn’t just about saving money or resisting temptation, it’s about proving to yourself that you can commit and persevere. Let’s cross this line together, and when October rolls in, we’ll know we earned the right to look back and say with pride: we did that. šŸ’Ŗ #NoBuySept #Brotherhood #StrongerTogether
