SOTD: Game of Spades Wildcard
I’ve seen this one on here several times so I won’t bore you with a breakdown. It’s the best dupe there is of Bond’s Lafayette St. https://www.skool.com/bos/sotd-game-of-spades-wildcard-5fa4c095?p=898fcfa3

@Aditya Choksi haven’t tried the Dua version of it so wouldn’t be able to tell you. This is pretty much 1:1 with the OG though

@Jonathan Ventura no plans to get the OG this one does perfectly for me
First Impressions: Purple Melancholia
Finally found a bottle in a store so gave it 1 spray on the wrist. Opens up like a coconut leaning Gris Charnel with a clear designer level quality and mass appeal. Creamy, cosy, nicely sweet and very wearable. Projects strong for a Valentino. Quality is good and the blend is clean, but nothing here feels groundbreaking. The closest market competitor for this would be Le Beau Le Parfum and to me PM is a dumbed down vibe, similar crowd pleasing DNA, and LBLP still comes out on top in terms of character and overall profile. I would argue that this would be a massive hit in the mainstream. Its more smooth and more wearable tha LBLP and 25 and above usually avoid jpg as its a “teen fragrance“. My prediction maybe wrong but many of us weren’t impressed with paradigme but the numbers dont lie. So the hype to me was not justified. My initial score would be a 7.5/10. If i get a sample from a purchase i might give it a proper wearing.

I’m looking forward to this release in the US. One of the few designers I’ll buy this year
Armani Code Parfum - Daily Driver Worthy
Bought this after sampling at a local Ulta/Sephora. Figured it would be a good daily scent to wear for work and also just a good average day scent. Definitely enjoying the smooth notes and texture (on my nose) of this scent. I can see it being extremely versatile for me as an all-day scent that goes on early in the day for work/errands and then reapplying at night before a dinner out. It's not a "blow you away" experience but a good mature scent that seems like a swiss army knife. Projection seems good as I'm 4 hours in and still smelling it. I have a feeling this will be the scent for the indecisive days where I go, "I don't know what I want to wear today". Also definitely a four season scent I can see wearing all year round. I'm not an oversprayer but I feel i could get away being a little more aggressive with sprays on this without being offensive and blowing people away. Since I work in close proximity to people, I try to be mindful of that.

I should’ve got in earlier on this house. Just checked his website and he raised all his prices:/ that’s what I get for waiting I guess

@Ben E I get that, I don’t blame him, he’s gotta make a living. I should’ve bought them when they were $120.
SOTD: M. Micallef GNTonic
Been craving some fresher scent profiles. I’m a bit over the sweet scents currently. Grabbed this one from Maxaroma. This one is excellent. Opens up with a lime and citrus, with mint and Ginger. Smells very similar to a Gin & Tonic to my nose. This is going to be an excellent summer scent. Only draw back for me is that it lasted about 4-5 hours on my skin. Projects well for the first hour or so. This one is a spring summer/ daytime/ casual. Work safe be aware that it could be considered a boozy scent. This is my 3rd Micallef scent, I am very impressed so far with quality and the scent profiles. 8.5/10
