1. Nishane opens its first permanent U.S. boutique Nishane opened at 239 Elizabeth Street in Nolita, New York, on October 1. This is the Istanbul house’s first standalone American boutique and its 16th mono-brand location worldwide. A larger Los Angeles flagship is already under consideration. This is the week’s biggest niche story: Nishane is moving beyond specialist retailers and creating its own discovery experience in the United States. 2. Vyrao acquired by Tresalis Wellness-fragrance house Vyrao was acquired by Tresalis, a new health-and-beauty platform backed by ATHOS and Dr. Fernando Tamez. Founder Yasmin Sewell remains a shareholder and becomes Chief Brand Officer, retaining creative and strategic leadership. It is another example of investment groups purchasing distinctive niche houses while keeping the founder involved. 3. Arabian fragrance continues expanding globally Euromonitor estimated Arabian fragrances represented approximately $4.9 billion in 2025, with growth accelerating beyond the Gulf into the United States, United Kingdom, and Latin America. Latin American demand is particularly strong because consumers favor concentrated, long-lasting fragrances; fragrance reportedly accounts for approximately 65% of regional beauty sales. Euromonitor.com This helps explain why houses such as Lattafa, Khadlaj, and other Middle Eastern brands are increasing distribution rather than remaining primarily online imports. 4. Symrise acquires Floral Concept Symrise completed its acquisition of Floral Concept, a French producer of premium natural fragrance materials in the Grasse region. Floral Concept joins Symrise’s Fragrance division and strengthens its access to naturals and its Grasse manufacturing network. Symrise This matters more than the average consumer realizes: consolidation among ingredient suppliers can eventually affect material availability, pricing, and what independent perfumers can source.

Hello! It's been a while. Apologies for inactivity, I have a lot on my plate. Some mild familial troubles, though nothing new, and trying to figure them out, along with some big stuff. My life is hitting a major transition period, as I've been called to serve a mission for my church (LDS), and I'm preparing to begin training and go on my mission in just a few weeks! I got called to California, speaking the Hmong language, so much of my time has been spent on studying, scripture reading, and studying this beautiful language. In my free time though, I spend a lot of time working on perfumes. I've started really falling in love with making them, though I still have a lot more to work on before making anything that doesn't smell too muddy, I've hit a potential gold mine, and I won't have to worry about them smelling generic. Below I've attached a little rough sketch I've been working on for my logo. The letters need better alignment, and the logo is just a pre filler sketch my friend designed for me, though I plan to make it more golden ratio-esque and slightly more minimalist, as the mollusk design I engraved on each bottle and cap. I've designed the bottles, packaging, story cards and storytelling, and currently have around twenty concepts in the works, with four being currently developed by *yours truly 💅*, and the more I do this, the more I'm realizing this is a career I want. I've also spent a long time locking in on different tastes and building little profiles for a lot of the brothers here, and so when I start releasing my stuff in a few years, you'll find things that are a little curated to your guys' tastes ;) Still an enormous thank you to Mr Centeno and this community for getting me on this journey! After a lot of time, work, effort, and money, I'm hoping to break through eventually, however long it takes. Currently we don't have any socials, but I am working on a website in its bare bones, and when I return in the two years, I'll start having these finished up, and prepared to continue the designs. I will be so happy to share this progress with you as I continue on.

I am not sure how I feel about this fragrance. I mean, I am torn between enjoying it and finding it a bit too niche-ish for me as I am getting acquainted with the notes. Top: Pomelo (Madagascar), Prickly Pear, Green Apple, Orange Blossom Heart: Tonka Bean, Driftwood, Flowerpool, Olibanum (frankincense) Base: Sandalwood, Ambronova, Vetiver, Vanilla Opens fruity and fresh with that pomelo and prickly pear, then the heart gets dry and slightly smoky from the driftwood and olibanum, which keeps the sweetness from going syrupy. Settles into a warm vanilla and vetiver base. It's pitched as an autumn/winter, evening-leaning, date-night vibe. Does it sounds like something you would like to try?

Had to run out to the job early this morning and needed something quick. I’m also going into a nursing home, so I didn’t want anything too loud, heavy, or challenging. It’s starting to get a little chilly here in Arizona in the early mornings, so today was one of those dumb-reach days. I went with Polo 67 EDP. I own the other versions in the Polo 67 line, and today I basically decided to sit right in the middle. The EDP gives me a little more body and presence than the EDT without pushing things too far. Clean, modern, masculine and easy to wear exactly what I needed when I didn’t have time to stand in front of the collection debating what to put on. Sometimes the best SOTD isn’t the most complicated fragrance you own. It’s the one you can grab, spray and know it’s going to work. Polo 67 EDP was that fragrance for me this morning. Performance-wise, Polo 67 EDP gives me around 7-9 hours of longevity, with good projection for the first 1½-2 hours before settling into a noticeable scent bubble. Sillage stays moderate, which is exactly what I wanted today—enough presence to smell good without filling up the room, especially going into a nursing home.
