@Lon Chaneyfield I'll wait on your reviews.
Sotd: Reserve Privee
The cold won’t be there for long so squeezing in all my winter frags. Boozy and nutty iris is what i would describe it as. Great designer frag especially for the price i picked it up.

Right now, it feels like it's not going anywhere. This is my favorite from the line (largely because it's the only one I own). Great choice.
Now this is interesting Mind F**K

It’s all about neuroplasticity and the networks of association our brains build through repetition. The brain functions like a high-speed "filing cabinet," categorizing new information based on previous emotions and memories to form rapid preferences. You think the perfume is cheap because the brain naturally responds to learned preferences. Here is how that process dictates our reactions: - Associative Learning: Our preferences aren't random; the brain connects specific styles or presentations with past rewards, triggering dopamine spikes in anticipation of pleasure. - The Halo Effect: A sleek presentation can "blind" us to a product's flaws because the brain uses the positive initial impression to color every other attribute. - Affective Priming: Visual cues, like color or lighting, act as "primes" that automatically trigger approach or avoidance behaviors before we even consciously think about the product. - Pattern Recognition: By recognizing familiar styles, the brain minimizes the energy required for decision-making, effectively creating a "brand loyalty mindset" that operates below the level of judgment.

SOTD - Bois Imperial
Starting my weekly challenge with this decant of Essential Parfums Bois Imperial. Bro this stuff is fantastic and is on my gotta have bottle list. I did a trade with another brother here and I saw Bois Imperial on his list, kindly asked and he hooked it up. You know who you are, thank you. I came across this one, trying to find a frag similar to Speed Legends and this came up a lot, but when I looked at Fragrantica #1 similar to was Ganymede.......whaaaaaat!? Another frag that I love. I had to try this. This is not Ganymede, this ain't Speed Legends and won't it won't replace either one. This is more like the offspring of the 2. Opens up with that saffron, metallic and mineral note, but not as strong as Ganymede then after about 30 min, the akigalawood kicks in, the Vetiver is soft and steps forward, it smooth and not sharp, this is were similarities to Speed Legends comes in, but still not a dupe. Wife doesn't care for it, I fell in love and when my mom got in the car (I wore this to visit fam) she immediately asked what it was because she really liked it.

@Henry Clay I have Bois Imperial, Akigala Mandarino, and Ganymede EDP. All three have fairly similar scent profiles, with Mandarion being sweeter with juicy citrus notes. Bois and Ganymede are both by Quinten Bisch, which I believe helps to explain the similarities.

Always loved fragrances. Became serious about collecting in my 50s, love trying scents and discovering trends. Still in the growth phase.
