SOTD: Banidir #40 Blue Talisman Clone !!!
Banadir 40 smells like it is clearly going after Ex Nihilo Blue Talisman. Banadir’s own site basically says that outright, so this is not one of those vague “inspired by something” situations. To me, the comparison comes down to this: Blue Talisman is the smoother, more refined original, while Banadir 40 seems to give you that same airy, fruity-musky, sparkling vibe for a lot less money. The original Blue Talisman is built around pear, bergamot, ginger, mandarin, orange blossom, musks, and woody amber materials, which is what gives it that fresh, modern, almost glowing effect. From what people are saying, Banadir 40 has a very strong reputation as one of the better Blue Talisman clones. I would still not call it a perfect replacement for the original, because clones usually miss a little of the polish and texture that make the real thing feel more complete. But Banadir 40 keeps coming up as one of the closest options, with some people even saying it is the best Blue Talisman clone they have tried. So in simple terms, I would put it like this: Blue Talisman = more refined and elegant Banadir 40 = same general DNA, strong value, and possibly a little louder. But to my nose, 1 to 1 in every way!!! My bottom line in your style: if you want the Blue Talisman profile without paying the Blue Talisman price, Banadir 40 looks like a very legit option. Price is under $50.00 for a 100 ml solid bottle. I have also purchased Banadir 63, which is a clone of Purpose 50, and a few of their Decants 10 ml for $10.00
