SOTD: YSL MYSLF Le Parfum
I haven't purchased anything from the MYSLF line yet, but I've sampled a couple of them. I still need to sample L'Absolu before I decide which variation to commit to. MYSLF Le Parfum feels like the original MYSLF grew up, put on a dark jacket, and headed out for the evening. Released in 2024 and created by Antoine Maisondieu, Christophe Raynaud, and Daniela Andrier, it opens with spicy black pepper before bringing in that signature orange blossom heart. The drydown is warm woods, patchouli, amber, and a really smooth bourbon vanilla. What struck me immediately is how much richer and more refined it feels compared to the regular MYSLF. The orange blossom keeps it modern and slightly fresh, but the vanilla and woods give it a deeper, almost creamy warmth. It still has that mass-appeal designer DNA, but this version feels more confident and less “generic blue fragrance.” Performance is very good on my skin. I’d mainly reach for this in fall and winter, for dinners, date nights, nights out, or anytime you want something modern and attractive without going full niche-dark-resinous territory. Easy to wear, easy to like.
