Ok⦠youāll be reading the words of a patsy. A sucker. A victim of scam and fraud. But the outcome is a blessing of knowledge going forward in purchases of any kind- do your due diligence. Itās been an emotional few months and details can be shared after, but I was looking forward to Midnight Sin and if youāve read my posts, you know this was a big deal for me. Hours after the announcement of Midnight Sin seen on Instagram, I came across DefiniteOfās post featuring Daniel genuinely excited and proud about the collaboration. I placed my order through the link provided and shortly after began receiving updates from support@definiteof. Tracking showed the package originating in Carbonia, moving through Venice and customs in Italy, then shipping to the U.S. on 4/25. It cleared customs on 4/30, arrived at a shipping partner on 5/2, departed on 5/5, and was finally marked delivered to me on 5/9 at 10:41 AM. When I arrived at my girlfriendās apartment Saturday afternoon, I found a heavily scuffed package sitting outside the door. The label was damaged, but I could still make out my name and address. I opened it expecting Midnight Sin and disappointed that it was a bag- not a box. What I found instead disappointment in a fragrance called WarmKiss. The packaging was mangled, though thankfully the bottle itself survived intact without shards of broken glass hurting anyone. The problem is: I never ordered this fragrance. Not from a niche retailer, not from Temu, not from SHEIN ā nowhere. Naturally, confusion set in over the entire weekend and yesterday morning, I checked my email again and saw the notification from support@definiteof saying my package had been delivered. When I contacted them explaining I had not received Midnight Sin, I was then sent information showing the shipment originated from China ā not Italy, as the original tracking indicated. At this point, anger was felt. A feel good gift to myself is all I wanted and it was a scam. I sent screenshots of everything sent to me and told them to rectify this- send me what I paid for. This morning, they thanked me and offered $7 credit. Trustpilot is full of complaints against them and Iām angry about being out of some money.
