This is precisely the kind of weather I've been anticipating to wear this particular perfume. It possesses a rich, masculine, and gourmand aroma. While this scent might be perceived as exotic by many Europeans, for those of us from the Indian subcontinent, it evokes a strong sense of nostalgia. The prominent kulfi note truly stands out and captivates the senses.

Little known Fragrance houses and fragrances! Bortnikoff (Tiger Blue)
Bortnikoff is an artisan niche house by Dmitry Bortnikoff, known for rich natural materials, real oud, ambergris, musk-style bases, florals, resins, and extrait-level compositions. This is not a typical designer-style house. Bortnikoff leans more old-world, dense, artistic, and natural-smelling, but Tiger Blue is one of the more wearable and modern entries from the brand. Tiger Blue is a collaboration between Dmitry Bortnikoff and Christian Carbonnel / Chris Maurice. It is an Extrait de Parfum with grapefruit, lemon, ginger, violet, magnolia, amber, labdanum, ambergris, musk, vanilla, and benzoin. Tiger Blue opens bright, clean, and sharp with grapefruit, lemon, and ginger. It has that fresh citrus sparkle, but it does not smell basic or shower-gel cheap. The ginger gives it some bite, the florals smooth it out, and the ambergris/musk/vanilla/benzoin base gives it a salty, slightly creamy, expensive drydown. To me, this is Bortnikoff making something easier to wear without losing the niche quality. It is fresh, citrusy, slightly floral, a little spicy, and has a smooth resinous base underneath. This is not a beastly dirty oud fragrance. This is the one I would recommend first to someone who wants to try Bortnikoff but does not want to jump straight into the heavy animalic oud side of the house. Performance: good for a fresh extrait. Expect around 7–9 hours, with solid projection the first 2–3 hours, then it settles into a clean but noticeable scent bubble. My take: Tiger Blue smells like a high-end fresh niche fragrance with more depth than the usual citrus freshie. It is clean enough for daily wear, but the ambergris, musk, and balsamic base make it feel more expensive and more grown than a basic blue fragrance. Top 5 Bortnikoff Fragrances 1. Musk KhabibA rich musky amber fragrance with bergamot, cardamom, nutmeg, ylang-ylang, cedar, tolu balsam, ambergris, musk, oakmoss, vetiver, tonka, and vanilla. This is one of the house legends. Smooth, sensual, musky, slightly spicy, and very refined.

Ok… you’ll be reading the words of a patsy. A sucker. A victim of scam and fraud. But the outcome is a blessing of knowledge going forward in purchases of any kind- do your due diligence. It’s been an emotional few months and details can be shared after, but I was looking forward to Midnight Sin and if you’ve read my posts, you know this was a big deal for me. Hours after the announcement of Midnight Sin seen on Instagram, I came across DefiniteOf’s post featuring Daniel genuinely excited and proud about the collaboration. I placed my order through the link provided and shortly after began receiving updates from support@definiteof. Tracking showed the package originating in Carbonia, moving through Venice and customs in Italy, then shipping to the U.S. on 4/25. It cleared customs on 4/30, arrived at a shipping partner on 5/2, departed on 5/5, and was finally marked delivered to me on 5/9 at 10:41 AM. When I arrived at my girlfriend’s apartment Saturday afternoon, I found a heavily scuffed package sitting outside the door. The label was damaged, but I could still make out my name and address. I opened it expecting Midnight Sin and disappointed that it was a bag- not a box. What I found instead disappointment in a fragrance called WarmKiss. The packaging was mangled, though thankfully the bottle itself survived intact without shards of broken glass hurting anyone. The problem is: I never ordered this fragrance. Not from a niche retailer, not from Temu, not from SHEIN — nowhere. Naturally, confusion set in over the entire weekend and yesterday morning, I checked my email again and saw the notification from support@definiteof saying my package had been delivered. When I contacted them explaining I had not received Midnight Sin, I was then sent information showing the shipment originated from China — not Italy, as the original tracking indicated. At this point, anger was felt. A feel good gift to myself is all I wanted and it was a scam. I sent screenshots of everything sent to me and told them to rectify this- send me what I paid for. This morning, they thanked me and offered $7 credit. Trustpilot is full of complaints against them and I’m angry about being out of some money.
