Triggers
I have to get back to my blueprint. I was rereading my notes from the 5 week course and got triggered. What started as remembering the event that I was told about (as a baby my 2yr old brother tried to cut my throat-perhaps because I was getting all the attention now- and Mom caught him in time to stop it), evolved into a full blown reliving of a heated conversation with my mother after my brother's funeral. She alluded to a recent spat with my brother (who called and started ripping me and my husband over some nonsense) with an uncle and aunt from out of state . It was a very emotional time and I LOST IT. Triggered: I started reliving the conversation LOUDLY in my head... And then I took a breath. "This is over. They have passed. Continue the work." (Calm thru teardrops) Thank you @Jim Ebbelaar
Goldfish
I am trying to do 2 things at once and I really can’t. Watching “Who do you think you are” whilst writing this and I cannot concentrate on the tv, so having to keep rewinding it again and again! Even when I try to read a book I find I can get distracted and read the same paragraph over and over again and it still doesn’t sink in. I have given up reading books as I find it so difficult to take it in. Even if I do persevere, I put the book down and go to sleep and the next day I have no idea what is going on in the book. I also get this with the tv. My husband will say let’s we watch the next episode of something that we have been watching and I don’t have a clue. My brain is somewhere else most of the time. Do you think it could be called “the goldfish effect?”
Hobbies and interests
It would be interesting to learn what hobbies and interests you have? I am a keen genealogist and have been researching my family tree for the last 30 years. I have a passion to recycle and reuse things like old tires and make them into something useful, although the tires are still in the production stage. I take old plastic bottles and make them into flowers. I have made portraits using tiny Hama beads (fuse beads (aka Perler, Nabbi, or Hama). And it can take over 25,000 beads to make one portrait. I have just got into making miniatures. My husband has ME and he is in a support group, where the members create art and once a year they display their work for 2 weeks. We make things as a family and some of our creations have been displayed in St. Albans Cathedral which has just finished. Unfortunately I haven’t sold anything but would love to get a commission to make a Hama bead portrait and work out how to frame them and ship them. I have many other crafts that I want to try but haven’t got around to yet, but there is time! Here are a few portraits I have made, do you recognise any of these people?
