Body Doubling Buddies = Rocket Fuel ⚡
6:30am here in New Zealand. Two of my accountability buddies dialling in from the States. And I am telling you, I have never been more glad to be awake before sunrise. A few weeks back, the three of us made a decision: one of our weekly body doubling sessions would be dedicated to revisiting the six-week program content. Not letting it gather dust. Actually building something we come back to, week after week. But here is the magic that happened along the way. 𝗪𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝘄𝗲 𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝘄𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁: 𝘄𝗵𝘆 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼𝗼? So we did. Last couple of sessions, we tackled 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝘃𝗮 (one of us is a total pro, the other two of us fumbling with the gizmos and loving it). And this morning? All three of us cracked open 𝗠𝗶𝗿𝗼 for the very first time. An hour and a half later we were up and running, laughing, learning, creating together. 𝗠𝘆 𝗱𝗼𝗽𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗰𝘂𝗽 𝗶𝘀 𝗙𝗨𝗟𝗟. 🥹 Here is what I am reminded of: body doubling is not just about getting the boring stuff done side by side. 𝗜𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. It is about safety. It is about turning "I should really revisit that content" into "we are doing this together, and it is actually fun." We have got refreshes and some serious icky guy (Ikigai) wrangling lined up for the coming weeks, and honestly, I cannot wait. To my buddies across the ocean @Diana Domantay and @Suliet Rivera thank you, ladies. You have invigorated me for the day. 💛 If you have not found your body doubling people yet, this is your nudge. Reach out. Start small. Pick a time. The right buddies do not just keep you accountable, they light you up. Who is body doubling in the group? Drop a comment, I would love to hear how it is working for you. 👇

Productivity Zone!
Hi guys! I've started my "productivity zone" experiment. The "target" for today is cleaning out the fridge, seeing what is there. I'm currently on my second break. The way I'm doing it is from 9 am to noon, I am doing 20 minutes ON and 20 minutes OFF. I have music playing. And I MAKE myself SIT during the breaks. This is a completely different way of thinking than I've ever had. The goal isn't even to "finish the fridge". It is merely to spend 20 minutes on it (and then 20 minutes off) from 9 am to noon. Why? Because I'm realizing and experiencing more and more that "taking a day off" just doesn't work for me. It just doesn't. However, I'm ALSO trying for the first time to honor my body's needs. I've also decided as of today that if my brain wakes up naturally at 5 am or when the birds chirp, to go ahead and get up then. Otherwise I actually end up MORE groggy. And since I'm by myself I literally HAVE to figure out all of the executive functioning etc every day. There is no one to make sure I take vitamins drink water etc. On top of it, I have major life decisions to make etc. But what I've realized is that "taking a day off" and laying down all day (while nothing wrong with it!) Actually ends up creating MORE anxiety for me. But! If I'm able to tell myself "hey, for those 3 hours, I worked on stuff", it will help me with everything else if that makes sense. So all of that to say that this is a completely different approach for me. But it NEEDS to be this way, at least for now. I'm going to bed much earlier, unless I have a specific appointment with someone else to do something actually fun (since this IS supposed to be my "break" after all 😅). But I'm no longer allowing myself to stay up watching TV, being on my phone etc. And by assigning a specific time frame, it gears my brain up while ALSO not being a threat that I have to be "productive" for 14+ hours 😅 The hope is that by designating this time as "productivity zone", my brain will start thinking of things I can DO during that time.

No Judgement Here....
Have you ever noticed notice tiny details other people miss or don't even care about BUT it soooo obvious to you? What's the weirdest thing you've ever spotted that nobody else noticed? Or a weird thing you do that people side eye you for? Mine..... I walk into places and if the picture are crooked, I will fix them..doesnt matter where I am ...
