💞Love Affair With Your Food Affirmation #2
Affirmation: “I can learn to trust myself around food.” Mindful eating isn’t about being perfect. It's about rebuilding trust: slowly, quietly, gently. Today, try listening for one cue: Hunger, Fullness, Satisfaction, Energy, Mood Pick one, not all. Trust is a muscle. And you’re strengthening it every time you pause to listen. Share below: Which cue did you choose today? What did it tell you?

💞Love Affair With Your Food Affirmation #1
A love affair with your food is really a love affair with your body: presence, respect, and listening instead of rushing, numbing, or ignoring. Affirmation of the Day: “I eat for nourishment, not punishment or reward.” Today’s focus is awareness of why you’re eating. Not to judge it. Just to see it. Ask yourself once today and share in the comments: “What is my intention with this meal?” If it’s nourishment, beautiful. If it’s comfort, distraction, stress, habit, also beautiful. Awareness always comes before change. Share (if you want): Did any intention surprise you?

Growth Mindset Week 1 — Let’s Begin
All right, let’s kick off our growth mindset journey. And any talk about growth mindset really needs to start with one of the pioneers—Carol Dweck. If this challenge sparks something in you, her book on growth mindset is incredible and worth a read. But first, let’s just get clear on what we’re even talking about. Sometimes, the best way to understand growth mindset is to contrast it with fixed mindset. 🧠 Growth mindset is the belief that we’re not static. That we can learn, grow, and figure things out. People with this mindset tend to approach challenges differently—they’re more resilient because they believe they can work through it. ⚠️ Fixed mindset, on the other hand, often shows up with perfectionism. It’s the idea that you’re either good or bad at something. That success is innate. There’s usually a fear of failure and a tendency to give up quickly. You stick to what you already know. You might feel jealous when others succeed. You avoid trying new things. The growth mindset voice says: “I can figure this out.” “I might not be good at it yet.” “Failure = feedback.” “This is a chance to grow.” And I think the biggest trap is thinking we’re either one or the other. But you’re not just a growth mindset or just a fixed mindset. I see this in practice all the time. Someone might have a total growth mindset at work—but when it comes to nutrition or movement, that fixed mindset language sneaks in: “I always fall off track.” “I’m not consistent.” “I suck at planning meals.” We’ll be talking a lot more this month about how to spot fixed mindset language (especially in health + lifestyle stuff). You’ll get really good at noticing it. But for today, I want you to reflect on this: 📌 Reflection Prompt Instead of labelling yourself one or the other… JOURNAL/REFLECTION PROMPT 🟡 Where in your life do you tend to show up with a growth mindset? 🟡 And where do you notice that fixed mindset creeping in? Let it be honest. No need to fix anything right now. Just start noticing.
Growth Mindset | Learning "YET"
🌱 Hey, happy Friday everyone! And for my fellow Canadians — happy long weekend! 🍁 Since we’re diving into growth mindset this month, I want us to start by just… noticing. You can’t grow from something you haven’t noticed yet, right? So here’s the challenge: instead of rushing to reframe into growth mode, just observe when those fixed mindset statements pop up. 🧠 Fixed Mindset in Real Life Sounds Like… 💭 “That’s just the way I am.” 👉 (I’m not a morning person / I’m disorganized by nature) 💭 “I’m either good at it or I’m not.” 👉 (I’m not athletic / I’ll never be good at yoga) 💭 “I’m not a math person.” 👉 (I can’t track macros / Nutrition labels confuse me / I’m bad at portion sizes) 💭 “I can’t do this.” 👉 (I’ll never stick to meal prep / I can’t meditate / I’ll never keep a routine) 💭 “If I don’t get it right away, I never will.” 👉 (I burned that recipe once so I can’t cook / I tried journaling and quit / Strength training feels awkward) 💭 “I’m too old to change.” 👉 (It’s too late to start exercising / I can’t learn new recipes / I’ll never get techy with apps) 💭 “I’m just not a disciplined person.” 👉 (I’ll always be a snacker / I can’t stick to bedtime routines / I’ll never be consistent with workouts) 💭 “It’s easy for them — they’re naturally talented.” 👉 (She just loves working out / He actually enjoys cooking) 💭 “If I fail, it means I’m a failure.” 👉 (I missed two workouts so I’ll never stick with fitness / I had dessert so I blew my diet) 💭 “Some people have it, some people don’t.” 👉 (They’re naturally thin / I just don’t have the metabolism for that) 💭 “I’ve always been this way.” 👉 (I’ve always had a sweet tooth / I’ve always hated exercise) 💭 “This is impossible.” 👉 (I can’t cut down on caffeine / I’ll never manage stress better) 💭 “Effort means I’m not smart.” 👉 (If I need a coach or a plan, it means I’m not motivated enough) 💭 “I’ll never be able to do that.” 👉 (I’ll never run a 5K / I’ll never cook from scratch / I’ll never meditate)
