Last year, my uncle passed and when my family was going through his stuff, they gave me this really nice military surplus great coat because it fit me, and really no one else. I was going to have the few moth holes patched and wear it next winter. Yesterday at a family gathering, I learned that it is NOT a military surplus jacket. It was my grandfather's jacket, issued to him when he was sent to Germany during WW2. Not sure if it is appropriate to wear it now. I know it's not a question regarding style, but given this new information, what would you guys do with this jacket, that is a family heirloom and a piece of history?
