Shopping for AI-generated Clothes
We have had fun with AI as seen in the following photos based on my son, Nick, who is 6'2" and size 3XLT. He is a musician (bass) who plays at weddings, corporate events, jazz shows, and other events that may include R&B, sould, gospel, and Latin music. Other than his obligatory black suit, he did like these images that I made for him. The problem is actually finding anything like them in person or even on-line. We walks through the Scottsdale fashion mall, for example, yesterday looking for what might look exciting on him. We came away feeling empty - just mostly bland items. Where should we shop?

OOTD 2026-07-06: Lunch On The Patio; Giving Charles Tyrwhitt Another Shot...
It's a hot day but not a scorcher and not too humid - for north Alabama, at least - so I'm dining al fresco for lunch at a local Mediterranean-inspired eatery. Still, it's hot enough to justify shorts and an all-linen outfit, which is where Charles Tyrwhitt comes into play. I'm testing out this linen polo from them and, so far, I'm pleased - but more on that later... Someone at Charles Tyrwhitt needs to do an internal audit of their tape measures. When I started my weight loss journey, my neck was a little over 20.5 inches. After losing 50 pounds, it was right at 20 inches. Now, it's about a quarter-inch shy of that. Based on Charles Tyrwhitt's size guide, none of their off-the-rack dress shirts should fit me even decently. Still, I wanted to give them a shot. So, last year - during one of their 3-shirts-for-$99 promos - I ordered a dress shirt, a casual cotton button-up shirt, and a casual linen button-up shirt. I ignored collar size and - knowing my measurements - I used their size guide to select the sizes that should fit me best. I don't remember the sizes for the casual shirts but they fit me decently. The dress shirt was a 17 1/2 with 36 sleeves. (I figured it would be an inexpensive dress shirt I could just always wear sans tie.) However, I measured the collar at 18.5 inches, the sleeves at 37 inches (a bit too long), and the chest a full two inches shy of what their size guide said. So, this time, I ordered an 18 1/2 with 35 sleeves. On this shirt, the chest was again a solid two inches shy of what the size guide said, while the sleeves were actually 35 inches (too short), and the collar a hair shy of 19 inches. I did discover that I can exchange the shirt, so I'm trying for a 19 with 37 sleeves in a classic fit. We'll see how close this one is to their size guide when it arrives... Back to the polos. I loved the look of this polo and the fact that it was 100% linen. CT recently had a coupon-code sale that stacked with their multi-buy pricing, so I ordered three of these polos and a dress shirt.

It’s too hot for this OOTD
It's a bloody ass hot day in Columbus, Georgia. ☀️ And it’s too hot for this OOTD, but at least I have a cool Boston Scally Saltbox Cap. 😉
