Weekly RMRS Member Shoutouts 👔
Gentlemen, here are a few standout posts from the RMRS community this week. 👏 Big shoutout to @Jonathon Shane Crawford for kicking off a fantastic discussion on "Dining etiquette" — a topic that sparked 150 replies from members sharing their takes on modern table manners, hosting guests, and restaurant conduct. A great reminder that style extends beyond the wardrobe. Post: https://www.skool.com/rmrs/dining-etiquette 👏 Shoutout to @Chad Smith for his detailed "OOTD - Thursday 2 July" breakdown featuring a 100% cotton Nova Polo and a newly purchased Safari Suit for his last day at the site office. The intentional outfit planning and honest commentary on what he wore (and why) is exactly the kind of OOTD post that inspires the whole community. Post: https://www.skool.com/rmrs/ootd-thursday-2-july 👏 Shoutout to @Christopher Hansford for his "Majorca - beaches and pina coladas" post — bringing the community along on his travels with personal style notes that blend lifestyle and fashion in a way that makes everyone want to pack a sharper suitcase. Post: https://www.skool.com/rmrs/majorca-beaches-and-pina-coladas 👏 Shoutout to @William Feldtmose for his "OOTD Monday June 29th" post — a solid start-of-week fit that drew strong engagement and set the tone for community outfit sharing. Dress diversity
The photos below show the diversity of dress at the Fourth of July BBQ we attend every year. Half of these friends get together for various celebrations throughout the year, every year, and will dress differently for the occasion. That said, we live in a beach community in the greater Los Angeles area, and the standard dress approach is as casual as one might imagine. What you don’t see is the broad support for everyone’s approach. Despite being dressier than anyone else there, I was actively encouraged and supported to keep dressing as myself. There was a constant flow of compliments and several women noting how I am motivating them to want to dress up more. Several of these folks do dress well for work (law firm partners, physicians, and the like), but have enjoyed not needed to dress up so much at a gathering of friends.

…to do my duty to God and my country…
Naturally the troop for which I am the Troop Chaplain did the presentation of colors today at church on the Sunday following the United States 250th anniversary. Typically I wear my scout uniform on flag presentations but as I had nothing required today so I went with my navy blazer with Boy Scout blazer buttons. To keep the patriotic theme I grabbed a bright red 1982 RL tie and a red silk pocket square, a white on white herringbone CT shirt, and I borrowed a pair of RL white red and blue braces from my wife. I grabbed a pair of MTM deep charcoal grey Calvary Twill trousers, a deep red pair of cashmere socks and my 1982 Alden Shell Cordovan tassels. One of the things I remind my scouts is that every single week they recite an oath that begins with duty to God and then recite the 12 Scout laws that end with “a Scout is Reverent”. Always pleased to see them provide this service to the church and community.

Shopping for AI-generated Clothes
We have had fun with AI as seen in the following photos based on my son, Nick, who is 6'2" and size 3XLT. He is a musician (bass) who plays at weddings, corporate events, jazz shows, and other events that may include R&B, sould, gospel, and Latin music. Other than his obligatory black suit, he did like these images that I made for him. The problem is actually finding anything like them in person or even on-line. We walks through the Scottsdale fashion mall, for example, yesterday looking for what might look exciting on him. We came away feeling empty - just mostly bland items. Where should we shop?
