This Stops Being About Clothes
There's a shift that happens for some men. They stop asking "does this look okay?" and start knowing. Not because they memorized rules — but because they've built a standard for themselves. A quiet confidence that doesn't need to announce itself. You see it in how they walk into a room. In how people respond to them before they say a word. In how much mental energy they have left for things that actually matter. That's not style. That's identity. And identity isn't bought — it's built, through consistent habits and deliberate choices made over time. That's what RMRS Premium is designed for. Not trends. Not outfit grids. A structured path to becoming the man who looks sharp because of who he is — not what he's wearing. If that shift sounds like something you want, the door's open: https://www.skool.com/rmrs/plans

Discussion: Formality across cultures
We all have a general sense of what “formal” means — but I’ve noticed it’s far more dependent on culture and location than we might think. Living in the Middle East, the contrast with Western standards is quite clear. For example, in many Western countries, a tuxedo is strictly tied to black-tie events. In Egypt, though, we don’t really have that same structure. The tux is mostly reserved for the groom at weddings — and even then, it’s sometimes treated more flexibly depending on the setting (photos vs. the main event, etc.). Another interesting contrast is with Saudi Arabia. There, the traditional thobe is considered formal wear, while a full suit can come across as more foreign or low level employee. In Egypt, it’s almost the opposite — the suit aligns with what we see as formal, while the thobe feels more traditional and not always suitable in certain formal or professional environments. It’s fascinating how something considered proper in one place can feel out of place just a short distance away. Have you noticed similar differences in other cultures or countries?
Brownie outfit and a new sling bag!
This is what I sported while shopping for utilities (with wifey) today. Comments are most welcome! 1. I have paired an ivory crew neck Tee with a custom tailored (I found a bespoke tailor, finally) khakhi Chinos in 100% wool for a subtle contrast. 2. I have complemented this base outfit with a new camel trucker jacket in 100% corduroy. 3. Accessories include brown belt and tan loafers in newbuck leather (I am showing the later in the forum for the first time). 4. The showpiece is a cross body sling /messenger bag in blue canvas from Amazon. I got this after a lot of research to fit my four basic requirements: (a) it has to withstand a lot of wear and tear and be water washable (so, no leather), (b) it has to be kind of minimal with no flashy logos, (c) it must have enough room for many many items I carry every time (a 1.0 L water bottle, sanitizer, hand towel, wet tissue pack, key pouch, wallet, mobile phone, two cloth bags for carrying groceries, and an umbrella and (d) it must have two pockets in the front which should hold my wallet and mobile phone comfortably. The feature in this sling bag which provided for (d) was a winner.
