OOTD March 25
Monochromatic today. Yes, the pants are too long- I will be hemming these later tonight No, I did not dive on a wrinkle grenade. The pants were pressed last night but they are brand new. I think they need to to be washed to soften up. They wrinkled up on my way into the office. Wrinkles appear worse in pics than they actually are. Chinos - Izod Shirt - silk / cotton cable knit polo ($3 thrift store find) Shoes - Florsheim Watch - Timex weekender with Khaki Nato strap

@Steven Hotchkiss You are very welcome, great looking guy.
When Do I Reward/Treat Myself Exactly?
So this is something that’s been on my mind for a while. I’ve tried to apply the idea of “rewarding myself” before — back in high school, for example, I’d treat myself after finishing a chapter while studying or completing a task. That part felt clear and structured. However, when it comes to work and more serious responsibilities, the situation becomes a bit different. Often, I delay or ignore things I want, just to stay focused on what I have to do. Then I finish something important… and I don’t even pause to acknowledge it. I just move straight into the next thing. By the time I actually think about it, the moment has already passed. It doesn’t feel like a “big achievement” anymore — it just feels like something that had to be done. The emotional side of it fades, and it turns into more rational thinking, like “yeah, that’s just normal.” So I end up either not treating myself at all, or not even knowing if what I did deserves it in the first place. What do you guys think about that? How do you personally define when something deserves a reward? And how do you balance between discipline and actually allowing yourself to enjoy what you’ve achieved?
How differently have people treated you when you dress differently?
I am currently at university, and since things are going better for me, I decided it was time to buy some new clothes. I've noticed that people treat you quite differently when you dress well, as if they subconsciously decide to treat you that way otherwise. So I'd like to know if this has happened to you too, or if you have a similar story you would like to share.

Well, yeah, for sure! It’s very noticeable, actually. I actually started caring about how I dress not that long ago. At first, I just wanted to look good, and that’s it, but honestly, that wasn’t enough for me. Once I started to understand style more and how it actually conveys a message, I began thinking about how that could benefit me. Especially since I’m 20—very young for an office—yet I’m there because of my skills, so I still want to present a more serious image so people take me more seriously. And apparently it worked, and it kept getting better over time. Managers started talking to me in a noticeably more serious tone, with more respect in our conversations. My boundaries were never taken as a joke after that. On a more personal side, I noticed changes too. As my style leveled up, my family started noticing, and even the females in my family began asking for my advice on outfits and matching. I started being seen more as the “guy who knows” in a way—someone who understands different things. Additionally, this also reflected on my relationship with my fiancée. We started talking more about style and clothes, which gave us more topics to connect on—that’s one thing. Another is how she sees me now, being happy about it and everything, and that’s just wonderful. And besides all that, there are the compliments. That wasn’t the goal for me, but it’s a nice benefit that came with improving my style. Receiving compliments definitely boosts your self-esteem and helps you see yourself in a more positive light. Also, just looking at myself now feels different—it feels good knowing I actually look good and put together, and that I’m giving that good energy to the world.

New Additions to the Wardrobe | Eid Outfit
So, last Wednesday, I went out to grab a couple of new pieces for Eid. Normally, I don’t really buy clothes specifically for holidays. I usually just wear the best outfit I already have and call it a day. But this time my fiancée and I wanted to match outfits (you know how much girls enjoy that kind of thing 😄), so I decided to go for it. Conveniently, a burgundy button-down and an off-white chino were already on my wishlist. When I found the right ones, I didn’t hesitate. The planned Eid outfit is pretty simple: - Burgundy button-down shirt - Off-white chino - White low-top sneakers Clean, relaxed, and still a little festive. I think it’ll work perfectly.
