4th Medal
Already done so much
Eye test and gym were done by 9:40. Have finished first week of training for the blueprint. I love the legs press (used for first time today). I have been brave (anxiety etc) and spoken to the staff at the gym who showed me machines and how to work them. I am focussing on getting the exercises right but also being present and noticing everything that my body is feeling. Trip to the doctors this afternoon (I'm walking down and back to get my steps in). Right now I'm going to settle down and do some work for going back next week. Have a good day everyone 💛❤️😁
Oh my quad!
Its an awful picture taken in a country park's dirty mirror (apologies!) after a massive, muddy walk today, but I had to take it and share because it's a big win for me as I noticed my quads popping through a little 😂🥳 I really am quite chuffed to have built these up again so far. I've always had thick thighs (even when I was skinny many moons ago) and always tried to fight them in the past to shrink them down but now I'm embracing them and feeling strong AF💪🏻 What's been your bank holiday wins and glimmers Ladies & Gents? ✨

40 mile road bike ride done 🚴‍♀️
Today’s 40-mile ride was one of those that teaches you more than you expect. I thought I’d prepared well with a carb-heavy lunch, but I didn’t factor in the fact that breakfast was just a protein shake. In hindsight, I definitely should’ve had something more substantial to set me up properly for the day. That said, the ride itself started beautifully. Heading into Derbyshire never disappoints, and the views absolutely delivered. Rolling through to Surprise View, I was treated to stunning panoramas across the valley, looking out over Hope Valley and Hathersage — honestly breathtaking. The route carried me through Grindleford, Calver and Baslow before I stopped about 18 miles in at Chatsworth House to refuel. That stop was much needed - yoghurt, banana, flapjack, and even a sausage roll. Feeling recharged, I set off again… but this is where things got tough. I ran out of fluids just as I hit a brutal 2km climb — 213m of vertical ascent, two hairpin bends, and every bit as vicious as people say. It was a proper thug of a hill. I gave it everything, but it got the better of me. I had to stop near the top and ended up walking around the bends. Even that felt like a huge effort. At the very top, I found a bench and just sat there, completely spent. For a moment, I felt defeated. Then I checked my route and realised I was only halfway - and the second half was completely unknown. That hit hard. I could feel the emotions bubbling up. But then something shifted. I thought about you guys — how you’d be cheering me on — and it gave me the push I needed. I took a breath, gave myself a bit of time, and made a call: adapt. I replanned the route home. Picked something more familiar, something manageable — just one more climb about 2 miles from home. Honestly, it was the best decision I made all day. That mental and emotional pivot changed everything. I was still out of food and fluids, but I slowed things down, listened to my body, and just kept moving forward. And I made it home.

Scales teased me today.
Another definate lbs lost but the 6 /7 (no joke intended) was teasing me. Back to my weight a couple of weeks ago so right direction again. Been a wee bit quiet this week, just been digging in deep as really tired and feel like old habbits were creeping back. I'm not prepared to let that happen, im still showing up !!
Scales teased me today.
