Perfume Collector Types: "Roast Edition".. just for fun.. Which One Are You?
***Note: this is Chat GPT generated.. The Niche Snob: Swears they can’t smell anything under $300. Thinks ā€œmass appealingā€ is an insult. Wears something that smells like church incense and rubber just to say it’s art. Probably calls Dior Sauvage ā€œpedestrianā€ while bathing in a scent that smells like a haunted library. The Designer Devotee: Owns every flanker of Bleu de Chanel like they’re PokĆ©mon cards. Their dream blind buy is whatever Jeremy Fragrance screams about next. Says ā€œthis gets me complimentsā€ more times than they say ā€œhello.ā€ The Clone Hunter: Buys 37 variations of Aventus clones just to save $20, but ends up spending $600 total. Brags that their clone is ā€œ95% close,ā€ yet smells like lemon pledge and regret. The Note Analyst: Doesn’t wear fragrances, they study them. Talks about ā€œthe mid transitionsā€ like it’s a doctoral thesis. Can’t go a day without saying ā€œthe isobutyl quinoline in the dry down is chef’s kiss.ā€ Bro, it just smells nice. Relax. The Historian: Starts every sentence with ā€œActually, the original formulation in 1982ā€¦ā€ and ends it with ā€œthey don’t make them like they used to.ā€ They own more discontinued bottles than friends. The Flex Collector: Buys Xerjoff, Roja, and PDM just to post bottle pics under LED lights. Hasn’t sprayed half of them. The juice inside those bottles has seen less oxygen than a sealed time capsule. Posts their shelves like trophies. The Sample Hoarder: Has 400 vials but never commits to a full bottle. Always says ā€œstill testing.ā€ Their dresser looks like a crime lab evidence table The Over-Sprayer: Leaves a scent trail so thick it could guide ships through fog. Thinks ā€œprojection beastā€ is a personality trait. You can smell them before you see them.. and long after they’ve left. The Minimalist: Owns five bottles.. all versatile, all purposeful. Doesn’t understand the chaos of having 100+ decants. The Completionist: Obsessed with completing every line like it defines your life: Newsflash: buying them all doesn't make you cultured.. makes you broke

Fakhar Platin by Lattafa review
#sotd.... Today is Fakhar Platin by Lattafa... I've been sitting on this for months. I figured it was time to give it a full wear and review. For me, at first spray, I got a fresh soapiness. Didn't last long before it became more citrusy with some sweetness and a little touch of spice. The Lavender will make itself known during the dry down. As it wears on, the backend will introduce some smooth woodsy notes. This is a great performer overall. Great projection for more than an arm length. I went 9 hours before refreshing. I give this a 8.5 out of 10.

What is your holiday signature scent?
Gentlemen, We are coming up on the holiday season in like 5 weeks! Many of you are going to be attending holiday festivities and I think this is a good time to think about what is going to be that one fragrance that is going to be that holiday signature that people are going to remember you and that scent of the holidays. I know that many you have a pleat hurrah of fragrances, but what is that one that you feel is going to be that one that says ā€œyes this is me this season.ā€ Plus you are also helping some of us newbies of a good place to start to find and label that holiday scent for us.
Warmth on a Cool/Rainy Day
It's Cool and Rainy here so I thought I would pick a "Warmer" scent to accompany me today. Santa Maria Novella - "Tobacco Toscana" It's a nice scent. Good projection but not overpowering. Longevity for me has been up to 6 hours which for an EDC seems pretty solid to me. ChatGpt Says: Overview & Scent Profile From the official house notes: - Top: Bergamot, Tuscan tobacco leaves - Middle (Heart): Leather, amber, birchwood - Base: Cedarwood, guaiac, sandalwood, musk, vanilla In simpler terms, it’s a warm, woody-oriental tobacco-vanilla blend, leaning smoky but soft, with touches of leather and woods enveloped in a creamy/sweet veil. Many users describe it as intimate, not overpowering — a scent that gently envelops rather than projects aggressively. Longevity & Projection This is where opinions diverge a lot (as with many cologne-type concentrations). Some key takeaways: - Because it’s technically an eau de cologne from SMN, it’s not designed to be a powerhouse. - Several reviewers report soft projection for the first 2–3 hours, after which it becomes more skin-close. - Longevity estimates vary wildly:• Some say 5–6 hours is realistic on skin. - Others are more optimistic, claiming 8+ hours (especially on clothing) and calling its performance ā€œsolid.ā€ - A few users say it fades too quickly (2 hours or so) and then becomes a soft skin scent. Projection is generally described as modest or ā€œintimateā€ā€”you’ll mostly pick it up close, not in a room across the way. So, in practical terms: you’ll get a nice tobacco-vanilla aura around you for a few hours, and then it mellows into something subtle. How Many Sprays / How to Wear It Given its moderate performance, here are some guidelines: - 2–4 sprays is usually enough — overdoing it won’t dramatically increase projection, given the formula’s nature. - You can spray on clothes (scarf, jacket inner lapel, scarf edges) for better longevity, as fabrics often hold such scents longer. - Try to spray points that are somewhat ā€œopenā€ (neck, chest) but avoid oversaturating — you want it to feel elegant, not aggressive. - For social settings, 2–3 sprays might suffice; if outdoors or for extended wear, lean toward 3–4.
