SOTD: M. Micallef GNTonic
Been craving some fresher scent profiles. I’m a bit over the sweet scents currently. Grabbed this one from Maxaroma. This one is excellent. Opens up with a lime and citrus, with mint and Ginger. Smells very similar to a Gin & Tonic to my nose. This is going to be an excellent summer scent. Only draw back for me is that it lasted about 4-5 hours on my skin. Projects well for the first hour or so. This one is a spring summer/ daytime/ casual. Work safe be aware that it could be considered a boozy scent. This is my 3rd Micallef scent, I am very impressed so far with quality and the scent profiles. 8.5/10

Fantastic Choice!!

YVES SAINT LAURENT – LA NUIT DE L’HOMME EAU DE PARFUM (2026) đŸŒ¶ïžđŸ–€ YSL is officially reworking a legend. The 2026 Eau de Parfum version of La Nuit de L’Homme takes the iconic DNA and sharpens it for a darker, bolder era. Released in 2026 by Yves Saint Laurent, this isn’t a replacement — it’s an evolution built for modern nights. đŸŒ¶ïž Scent direction: This version leans more rugged, spicy, and masculine. The signature cardamom is still here, but now it’s intensified with a chili pepper kick, aromatic herbs, and deeper woods. Think mysterious, confident, and slightly dangerous — classic La Nuit energy with teeth. đŸ§Ș Notes breakdown: Top: Chili Pepper, Cardamom Heart: Sage, Tonka Bean, Patchouli Base: Leather, Sandalwood 👃 How it smells / comparisons: This keeps the seductive backbone of the original La Nuit de L’Homme, but adds heat, leather, and texture. If the OG was smooth and romantic, this one is bolder and more assertive — less soft date-night whisper, more commanding nighttime presence. Not a clone of anything else on the market — it’s YSL tightening its own legacy. 🕰 Longevity & performance: Expect a noticeable upgrade here: 7–9 hours of wear with stronger projection than the EDTs of the past, especially in the first few hours. 🎯 Best occasions: ‱ Date nights ‱ Night outs / lounges ‱ Fall & winter evenings ‱ Anytime you want controlled dominance 💰 Expected price: Likely around $110–$140 USD, depending on size and retailer. 🏬 Availability: Major department stores, YSL boutiques, Sephora, and authorized online retailers. Final take: The 2026 La Nuit de L’Homme EDP is YSL reminding everyone why this line became iconic — darker, spicier, and more grown than ever. Classic La Nuit
or is this the best version yet? đŸ‘€đŸ”„

SOTD – Massive by Sawalef (Niche side of Swiss Arabian)
Good morning, Brotherhood!! Quick SOTD brought to you by Massive by Sawalef. Sawalef’s parent company is the well known Swiss Arabian, and this is their niche side of the house. As if Swiss Arabian wasn’t already putting out niche quality fragrances. Seriously, SA releases some amazing scents. Massive is primarily a woody spicy fragrance, launched in 2018. It’s absolutely gorgeous and gives off Encre Noire À L’ExtrĂȘme vibes, but with a twist of dried fruit, vanilla, and dirty patchouli. And if you’ve been around me for any amount of time
you already know I love patchouli. The opening instantly grabs my attention with a strong, sharp, masculine cedar note. The dried fruits add a subtle sweetness in the background, warming up the blend nicely, especially since cedar can sometimes come across a bit bright. As it dries down, the patchouli and vanilla really ground the fragrance and complete the composition in a way that feels very high quality. Performance is still being determined, but so far it’s been a bit of a rollercoaster ride which I like. Something I’ll chalk up to skin chemistry. At first spray it was very captivating and masculine but then after a couple minutes, it felt weak, but maybe that was just my nose adjusting to the opening? As it transitions, you can clearly smell it move from bright cedar into warmer dried fruits, then into smooth vanilla and patchouli. Cedar wood is clearly the dominant note in this blend. Where this fragrance really shines is its sillage. Just when you think it’s gone, you’re reminded how good it is when you walk back into the space you were just in. It leaves a trail that genuinely makes you happy. Not super sweet, very masculine, and a great signature scent IMO. I would recommend this if you like cedar. Good for all seasons but beware of warmer climate as it may be too much. Have you tried any offerings from Sawalef? Have an amazing day, Brotherhood!! Off to work. Notes: ‱ Top: Cedar, Dried Fruits, Nutmeg ‱ Mid: Jasmine, Musk

@Lon Chaneyfield My thoughts too! The little shop that I go to in LV gave me a bunch of decants from the line to try out. So far they are really well done. Great point on them probably incorporating them in the current choices. I’m pretty impressed so far.

@Paul Bartnicki Thank you sir!! I’ve got several decants from Maison D’Orient and they wanted me to try it out because I frequently go there. They know my taste so that was awesome. You can get a bottle for about 119. All the Sawalef line comes in either a white, black, or gold bottle but they all look the same which it pretty cool. So far they have been really well crafted IMO and I’m surprised not very well known.
THE BOOZE WARS CHAMPION - Xerjoff Tony Iommi Monkey Special
Alright guys, the #Brotherhood has spoken! After weeks of matchups, message-thread debates, hot takes, reconsidered votes and more “wait
smell it again” moments than I can count, The Booze Wars Champion has officially been crowned! I hope you've had some fun and learned about some fragrances along the way! ****** XERJOFF TONY IOMMI MONKEY SPECIAL ****** This wasn’t a squeaker. Monkey Special didn’t just survive the bracket, it controlled it! Dark, boozy, smoky, and unapologetically rich, this one balances rum-soaked indulgence with a surprisingly disciplined backbone. Boozy grit, warm sweetness, woods, and that unmistakable rock-and-roll swagger
it smells like confidence that’s already been earned. What really pushed it over the edge? Versatility without compromise. It’s bold but wearable, loud without being sloppy, indulgent without tipping into novelty. You can wear this out, you can wear it in, you can wear it just because you want to smell like the main character in your own damn story! And honestly, this win says as much about the #Brotherhood as it does the bottle. Favorites went down. Dark horses made noise. Opinions shifted. Palates evolved. That’s the beauty of these Wars, the #Journey matters just as much as the crown. So raise a glass, give your bottle another spray, and tip your hat to a champion that earned every vote. #Brotherhood first, bottles second, memories always. What say you, guys? Did Xerjoff Tony Iommi Monkey Special take the crown because it’s the boldest, booziest thing in the room, or because it somehow balances all that swagger with real polish? And looking back at the bracket, was there a matchup where your vote genuinely surprised you once you sat with it a little longer? And no, this isn't the part where we ask, “But is it office-safe?” Guys
if you’re wearing Monkey Special to the quarterly budget meeting, that’s a "you" problem! Love to hear from ya'!

I am an amateur collector of fragrances both designer and niche. I am looking for a place to talk fragrance and find great things to try.
