The cold won’t be there for long so squeezing in all my winter frags. Boozy and nutty iris is what i would describe it as. Great designer frag especially for the price i picked it up.
Uomo Salvatore Ferragamo Signature
I was reading a post by @Henry Clay a few days ago about going through and wearing some samples this month so I decided to jump on the train. I have a ton of them that have been sent over by @Jamal Moore @George Hernandez @Raul Olveda @Mark DiCiero @David Myers and a couple of other brothers. There’s one or two that aren’t with us anymore for whatever reason. I decided to start with Ferragamo Signature today. Salvatore Ferragamo Signature is a smooth, and masculine fragrance with a very clean and confident vibe to it. It opens very fresh with citruses and pink pepper. I’m also getting some of the cinnamon here. You’re also able to start picking up on the cypress after a few minutes. As it starts to settle down you get a very smooth and almost creamy leather and hints of coffee also. The dry down is soft and I get the woods and tonka bean. Overall, it’s a pretty good scent, it’s versatile, and it’s easy to wear. I feel like it’s a great choice for work, casual evenings, or anytime you want a classy, understated scent I would say the longevity is around 5-6 and it pushes out pretty good for the first hour or so. The price is also good at around $38 for a 100ml I don’t think you can go wrong with this. It’s a budget fragrance that I would definitely recommend.

SOTD: Azzaro Forever Wanted Elixir
Went with a bit of a darker frag today at least by my standards. It has a nice raspberry open followed by a smooth lavender and very nice leather note. My only gripe with it is the raspberry is gone like a fart in the wind lol. https://www.skool.com/bos/sotevening-azzaro-forever-wanted-elixir?p=b9684339

Lol true about the raspberry
First Impressions: Purple Melancholia
Finally found a bottle in a store so gave it 1 spray on the wrist. Opens up like a coconut leaning Gris Charnel with a clear designer level quality and mass appeal. Creamy, cosy, nicely sweet and very wearable. Projects strong for a Valentino. Quality is good and the blend is clean, but nothing here feels groundbreaking. The closest market competitor for this would be Le Beau Le Parfum and to me PM is a dumbed down vibe, similar crowd pleasing DNA, and LBLP still comes out on top in terms of character and overall profile. I would argue that this would be a massive hit in the mainstream. Its more smooth and more wearable tha LBLP and 25 and above usually avoid jpg as its a “teen fragrance“. My prediction maybe wrong but many of us weren’t impressed with paradigme but the numbers dont lie. So the hype to me was not justified. My initial score would be a 7.5/10. If i get a sample from a purchase i might give it a proper wearing.

@Steve Hawker Something about it is addictive. I think it may creep into top 3
Wajd by Swiss Arabian
Today is a decant of the day for me. Thanks to you @Jamal Moore for this. While I’ve smelled this before on paper but never on skin. Very much in the houses DNA, Wajd opens nicely off my skin. Warm, slight powder and sweet floral. Yet where Oud 07 gains depth by woods and Oud derivations, Wajd digs deeper with patchouli, musk and amber. Now this also isn’t a high rose heavy frag though. Ive read some people try and compare this to Radical Rose by Matiere Premiere. I can’t see that at all. That’s like comparing a 46 horsepower, 20yr Irish whiskey to isopropyl alcohol!!! 😂 not saying this is bad under any circumstances but be realistic please!!!!! This sits slightly closer to my skin than Oud 07’s higher projection. (Not a bad thing at all though) Sillage is excellent maintaining a bubble around you and trail behind you. At about 0.80 Cents per ml this is obtainable by all if the scent profile is in your wheelhouse. Is this FBW? Absolutely. For me personally no. But only because I already have many frags in this style and I curate my collection very carefully. If you have room for it in your collection or need a good alternative in this genre I say get this. Price point is hard to beat. Solid 8.5/10 for me.
