🧴 Weekly Challenge #2: The Forgotten Bottle
We all have one - that bottle sitting in the back of the shelf, collecting dust. Maybe it was a blind buy that didn’t hit right, or a scent you simply outgrew. 👉 This week’s challenge: Reach for that forgotten fragrance and wear it for a full day. Then come back here and share: - What scent did you pick? - How did it wear this time? - Did it surprise you - or confirm why you stopped wearing it? Sometimes rediscovering an old scent reminds you how much your taste has evolved. 💬 Let’s see what hidden gems (or regrets) resurface this week.

SOTD- Sunday October 12th: Kenzo Homme EDP
First full wearing of this one to church. A little chilly but will warm up as the day goes on. This one is perfect. Really enjoying this. Performance seems to be really solid as well. Tested about 8-9 hours on skin yesterday. Excellent for a freshy.

9pm vs. Rebel
So, got samples of both 9pm and Rebel in my discovery set - and over the past couple of days have carried out a bit of a head to head. Straight off the bat, they are both very pleasing scents, with 9pm the fresher of the two, and Rebel a sweeter, pineapple/vanilla forward fragrance. The apple and cinnamon off the top of 9pm is a sure-fire crowd-pleaser, and the softer tonka/vanilla that develops in the base makes it a highly versatile option, if, (at least for me) - lacking too much that's overly distinctive. Rebel on the hand, leads with a prominent pineapple and vanilla hit, and tbf - if you don't enjoy the scent of pineapple - you might want to steer well clear. I also found that both the scent bubble and the longevity of Rebel were notably stronger than 9pm. Appreciate there is a lot of love and recognition for 9pm, not least as its a solid clone of JPG Ultra Male, however, while both are appealing, I'd definitely consider purchasing Rebel over 9pm. I enjoy that pineapple/vanilla combo, and as it drys down - I'm definitely picking up a hint of caramel in there as well. Its something that is undoubtedly more 'fun' than it is sophisticated - so I wouldn't classify this as an any situation fragrance, but something I'd happily don over the weekend and on informal occasions.
