Got this with my monthly subscription service. I had no Le male in my collection and had not come across this before. All I can say is wow. Im super impressed with this one, but somewhat confused as it is also refered too as Ultra Male Eau de Toilette Intense. It was launched in 2015 as a flanker to the iconic 1995 release, Le Male. Created by Francis Kurkdjian the same dude whom not only did most of the le male line but also Baccarat Rouge & the Sauvage eau forte. But lets try not too hold that one against him. Ultra is super good This takes the original's DNA & amps up the sweetness, spice, & intensity. Its a bold, modern scent. Defined as an Oriental Fougere. It’s a contrast between fresh, fruity notes & a warm, sweet, spicy base. The fragrance opens with a burst of sweet, juicy Pear & some fresh, aromatic notes. The pear is the star, giving it a distinctive gourmand-like fruitiness which is balanced by Black Lavender, Mint, Bergamot, and Lemon. The core of the fragrance is warm and spicy. Cinnamon is prominent, adding a sweet warmth, accompanied by Clary Sage and a hint of Caraway for a subtle, earthy depth. At its base, it settles into a creamy, powerful scent. The dominant note is a gorgeous Black Vanilla Husk, combined with rich Amber, woody Cedar, and a touch of Patchouli for longevity. This is a sweet, warm, and spicy vanilla-based scent with a prominent candied-pear opening. It’s an attention grabbing, youthful fragrance. Great performance, you could almost class this as beast mode, i got almost 8 hours and could still pick up traces on my hoody the next day. The projection is very strong, especially in the first few hours. It creates a noticeable scent bubble and leaves a magnetic trail. Excellent for Fall/Winter due to its warmth, spice, and intensity. A solid night wear, would work in the club or any social event. It seems to be marketed towards the younger audience, but dont let that put you off. Im almost 49 and will be adding a big bottle of this to my shelf for daily wear.
