My wife surprised me with this new release on Father’s Day and I decided to wear it for the full week. This one opens with that citrusy bergamot for the first 30min, then the heart notes start to shine, as an EDT it projects solid for the first two hours and then starts to fade slowly, lasting about 4-5 hours. I did reapply later in the afternoon. This one is very versatile, you can wear it anytime of anywhere, running errands, office, gym, brunch, you name it. Better suited for daytime, I rate this one 7.5/10 I still like better the L’Absolu but the EDT Intense is worth trying if you haven’t tried this line yet.

As an extrait it projects like a beast and lasts 8+ hours easy. Unisex but radiates fun and joy. • Seasons: Prime time is spring and summer — it shines brightest in warm weather, beach days, and hot sunny vibes. You can pull it off in early fall too if you want that tropical escape, and I think this can be worn year round. It’s definitely a warm-weather superstar but versatile enough for any season. • My Take as a Huge Fan: You guys already know I’m obsessed with Lorenzo Pazzaglia’s work and blind buy everything he drops, but Tropikalys Karma is next level genius! This one takes tropical fruits to an entirely different dimension — absolute perfection. I tried Gin Fusion as well and it is also top tier and blind buy worthy, but that’s for another post. Last night I wore it at Pier 39 Fisherman’s Wharf with my significant other. The waiters and waitresses could not stop smelling me — it was hilarious. Then I looked toward the back of the restaurant and there was Lorenzo eating with two other guys. I didn’t want to interrupt his dinner so I said nothing to the staff. What a crazy small-world moment! He and his company are completely humble and fantastic people — good-hearted, kind, and all-around gentlemen. His passion really shows through his interactions!!!

I’m no niche snob but I couldn’t very well amble into the niche-exclusive ScentFest in San Francisco wearing Babycat or Beau de Jour. Still, I decided to kick Creed and Amouage and Roja and Nishane to the curb in favor of the small Brit house Naughton and Wilson’s Arezzo. The bergamot and rum and Cambodian oud create an addictive olfactory experience. There are about 100 niche houses (many small) represented, and it’ll be good to get my nose on some of the wares.
