On October 17th I went to the first fragrance expo in the Caribbean celebrated in Puerto Rico & also my first time at an event like this with my wife. Although it was more Middle Eastern event 🤷🏻‍♂️ there where Puerto Rican perfurmers and brands and most importantly I had a great time and loved the experience. RDZ Parfums is a brand from a Puerto Rican perfumer called Alex Rodríguez, I didn’t knew but his brand was launched in 2020. I met him, he signed the fragrance and I asked him what inspired him to create the Limited Edition Borkién fragrance that where only 500 made. He told me that what inspired him was the Puerto Rico a very long time ago, when there wasn’t any buildings or roads, when there was “Jibaritos”, “el campo”… and before Puerto Rico even was named Puerto Rico, it was named Borikén or also Borinquen before the Spanish people invaded in 1493. Puerto Rico is a tropical island, that’s why the composition of the fragrance is fruity, citrus, floral, solar, woody & amber, This is a very special fragrance to me and the first time I wore it was on my Father’s birthday. I also liked Leyenda 21, Philly Blunt and much more of his collection.

Today I went back to my favorite local pharmacy liquidation sale. One of the things I love about this specific sale is that they bring many articles they have overstock, or new old stock to sale it very cheap, especially fragrances (sealed or testers). Since they already know me as a loyal customer, today one of the managers gifted me a JPG Ultra Male tester with a damaged atomizer (I had to transfer the fragrance to another bottle, it was dripping) and a Coach Floral EDP tester for my Mom that was there with me. Yesterday I layered this two flankers to try it out, it was my first time layering fragrances and although they are flankers I liked the combination, it stayed with the DNA but more sweet than the OG but less sweet than Le Parfum. The opening was nice and the dry down quite pleasant. It didn’t lasts more than spraying Le Parfum alone but overall nice to try them.

Since Monday I wore the EDP, Tuesday I wore Le Parfum and this one is better than the OG. That Vanilla gives it a well balanced sweetness and lasts more than 7 hours. My Dad complimented me and it was like 7 hours in.

Wore this fragrance to start this week, at first when it launched the feedback wasn’t so positive but lately it’s getting better feedback. I’ve liked it since day one, a signature scent and year round fragrance.
