@Jonathan Ventura 's post about his haul this week got me thinking about my week (which I generally don't do.) I commented about the size and quality of his purchases this week, but in retrospect, I had a nice week too.😉

Vanilla Oud is a charming gourmand-style fragrance that highlights prominent vanilla notes. This warm, luxurious unisex scent combines creamy vanilla with deep, woody oud, and opens with a fresh, fruity hint of apple and rhubarb. It's particularly suitable for cooler weather, though the initial oud can be somewhat "funky." While it doesn't project significantly from the skin for me, others have noted better projection. As the fragrance develops, it unveils a harmonious blend of woody and floral notes, including cashmere, rose, jasmine, and violet. These elements support the warm oud and rich, smooth vanilla. The composition is further enhanced by warm woods, amber, and tonka bean, creating a cozy base. The oud note, although strong, remains smooth and woody, beautifully balancing with the creamy vanilla without becoming overwhelming. I purchased this at a time when the fragrance was being hyped a lot on line. It is FBW, however, it now lives in a very crowded space in my collection, hence why it gets a very limited amount of wears.
