A salty sea breeze in a bottle. Had a decant of one of the flankers before & this one but it got used up quickly, with the warm weather fading, its pointless picking up a bottle now, but it will be added to he collection before next summer. This I believe is the newer version from 2024, said to be a refined and modern take on the classic aquatic scent. A strong contender for a warm-weather signature scent. It opens with an invigorating blend of green mandarin & bergamot, which is joined by that marine note. There's also that subtle hint of saltiness that adds to the oceanic vibe. As with all fragrances ive encountered, the initial citrus fades, & the heart introduces an aromatic freshness with rosemary, lavender & cypress. This gives it a mildly herbal vibe & builds on the greeness established in the top by the mandarin. The dry down is where Profondo truly distinguishes itself. It features a prominent mineral accord that gives it a unique salty, almost stony texture, along with the classic masculine combination of musk & patchouli. A touch of amber provides warmth and a subtle sweetness. Ive worn this in the heat & this is its true home. You can typically expect 6-8 hours of wear on skin. It's a solid performer for a fresh scent. Projection will give you a plesant scent bubble for roughly 3hrs.
