Looking for a pick me up on a gloomy morning here so I went with Armaf Infinity Black. Nice ginger note with masculine florals off the top. Wood comes in later but it’s very nice. Wish I was able to try the OG YSL L’Homme Ultime. Definitely worth looking in to.

As I’m packing up my fragrances to move, I found Afnan Turathi Blue. An original Tygar interpretation that caught the attention of lots of influencers. The crisp grapefruit and ginger opening is really beautiful and gives me really good longevity. Unfortunately, my spouse gets headaches from the ambroxin so I had to push it back to use more infrequently.

As I have expressed before, I’m not a Bleu de Chanel fan, I find it boring. Maybe in a near future that could change. However, the new L’Exclusif version captured my interest enough to consider getting it in the future. The OG Iconic is one of the CDN I don’t have in my collection for obvious reasons, including that I already have 6 BDC alternatives that I barely crave for. Nevertheless, as soon as I saw Iconic Extrait at Marshalls, I got to get it as my alternative to L'Exclusif. People compare Iconic Extrait with BDC Parfum, but doesn’t make any sense that Armaf will launch the Parfum version when the newest one was L'Exclusif. I definitely get L'Exclusif vibes from the Iconic Extrait. IMO it opens quite subtle, spiced, ambery, smoky and woodsy, and I also got an iris like nuance. As it dries down, the citrusy, sweet, ambery and leathery nuances ramps up, with the smoky and woody notes undertones. Performance here is out of the question, versatility is A+ for any season or occasion. This fragrance is very intoxicating, I just can’t have enough of it.

Decided on Montagne Carnal Grey Extrait. Inspired by BDK Gris Charnel and really smells great. The cardamom, figs and iris really centers me. Very good longevity for me without being cloying.
