SOTD- Layering Win: Rayhaan Edition
I’ve heard a lot of talk about Mykonos Empire, and that it’s a hybrid of Creed VIW and LV Afternoon Swim. Thought that sounded interesting, and then I realized I have the Rayhaan versions of both of those. Why not experiment a bit? Man this smells great! It’s a fruity, citrusy beauty that is perfect for summer. Base layer is Aquatica and then I sprayed Adonis Icarus on top. So far, it’s lasted about 6 hours, and I can still smell it in my sillage. If you have these, give it a try! It’s a really nice summer scent.

Scent of the Day: Davidoff Cool Water
Upper 80s here in Southern California today, so Cool Water felt right. It’s supposed to invoke that fresh water feeling, and honestly it delivers. This is one of the best fougeres out there, been on the market since the early 90s and still holds up. Nobody wears this anymore. Everybody had it in the 90s but now it’s basically been forgotten, sitting in the discount bin at most stores. Still one of my favorites though. This was one of the first designer fragrances I ever bought, picked it up at 16 from Dubai International Duty Free. Pulling it out today brought all that back. Perfect scent for a hot day and a good dose of nostalgia.

Decided to go with my all time favorite, Dior Eau Sauvage Parfum. Such a classic fougere style with the richness of the patchouli and oak moss to give it a modern spin. Not a young man’s favorite, but worth it in any professional’s collection. May be the first bottle I empty and have to reorder.
